The Superliga Femenina de Voleibol (SFM) is the top level of women's volleyball in Spain. The championship was founded in 1989. The administration of the league is carried out by the Real Federación Española de Voleibol. Formerly known as 1ª División de la Liga Nacional Femenina de Voleibol, and, since 1989 as the current name.

It is a member of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) and, in partnership with the Royal Spanish Winter Sports Federation (RFEDI), represents Spain in all international interactions regarding the Winter Olympics. The RFEDH is headquartered in Barcelona and its president is Frank González, a former ice hockey player and official.

The Club Hielo Sevilla or CH Sevilla, is an ice sports club founded in April 1976 in Seville, Spain, and continued its activities until April 1978. The primary sports supported by CH Sevilla were ice hockey and figure skating, however, the club also maintained others such as judo, horse riding and kart racing. CH Sevilla was the first ice club in Andalusia to provide sporting licenses to figure skaters and ice hockey players.
Līga Miljone is a Latvian ice hockey player. Miljone has been a member of Latvian national team since 2013 and has participated in nine IIHF Women's World Championships at the Division IA, IB, and IIA levels.
