The International Hockey League (abbr. IHL) is a regional hockey league in which clubs from Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia compete.

History

In the 2017/18 season, the Ice Hockey Federation of Slovenia established the International Hockey League (IHL) - a competition in which all Slovenian clubs and clubs from abroad could apply. In the inaugural season, Slavija, Celje, Triglav, Bled, Maribor, Medveščak, Mladost, Zagreb, Crvena zvezda and Vojvodina played in the league, while in the 2018/19 season hockey players from Austria joined Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian clubs. <span class="mw-page-title-main">KHL Medveščak Zagreb</span> Croatian ice hockey team

KHL Medveščak Admiral, also known as KHL Medveščak Zagreb, is a Croatian professional ice hockey team based in Zagreb, established in 1961. The team's name derives from the location of its original arena in the Medveščak area in central Zagreb, with KHL the abbreviation of the Croatian words for ice hockey club. It is by far the most successful and popular ice hockey team in the country.

Ice hockey has been played in Croatia at least since the late 19th century. It became organised on the national level in 1935 with the establishment of the Croatian Ice Hockey Federation, and at this period Croatian teams were playing in the Yugoslav Ice Hockey League. During the 1960s, Group B of the 1966 World Ice Hockey Championships took place in Zagreb, and KHL Medveščak Zagreb became a leading team, winning the national championship on several occasions. The breakup of Yugoslavia in 1991 led to the formation of the Croatian Ice Hockey League.

The Yugoslav Ice Hockey League was the top ice hockey league in the old Yugoslavia.

Hokejski klub Triglav Kranj, commonly referred to as HK Triglav or simply Triglav, is an ice hockey club from Kranj, Slovenia. The club was founded in 1968.

The 2008–09 Slovenian Hockey League season was the 18th season of the Slovenian Ice Hockey League. The competition was mostly made up of teams from Slovenia, but there were also two teams from Croatia.

The 2007–2008 Panonian League Season was the third season of the league. The previous season ended in 2004, and the league was abandoned for some years. Unlike in the past, the teams came from only two countries - Croatia and Serbia. The season lasted from October 12, 2007 to February 15, 2008. There were no playoffs.

The 2008–2009 Panonian League Season was the fourth and final season of the league. Like in the previous season, the teams came from only two countries - Croatia and Serbia. The same teams participated, and there were playoffs. The season started earlier, on September 30, and lasted until February 15, 2008.

The Regional Water Polo League, commonly known as the Regional League or Adriatic League, is a regional water polo league in Southeast Europe. Originally, the league featured clubs from Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia. In later years, clubs from Serbia joined the league and in one season club from Italy participated in the league.

The 1990–91 Yugoslav Ice Hockey League season was the 49th and final season of the Yugoslav Ice Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Yugoslavia. 10 teams participated in the league, and Medveščak won the championship. For the 1991–92 season, Croatia, Serbia, and Slovenia set up their own national leagues.

The 1973–74 Yugoslav Ice Hockey League season was the 32nd season of the Yugoslav Ice Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Yugoslavia. 14 teams participated in the league, and Olimpija won the championship.

The 2012–13 Slovenian Hockey League season was the 22nd season of the Slovenian Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Slovenia. Three teams participated in the regular season, which was won by Mladi Jesenice. For the playoffs, the three teams from the regular season were joined by Olimpija, which had participated in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga during the regular season, and Triglav Kranj and Slavija, which had both played in the Inter-National League during the regular season. Olimpija won the play-off championship by defeating Slavija in the final.

The 2012–13 Croatian Ice Hockey League season was the 22nd season of the Croatian Ice Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Croatia. KHL Medveščak Zagreb II won the championship by defeating KHL Mladost Zagreb in the final.

The 2013–14 Slovenian Hockey League season was the 23rd season of the Slovenian Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Slovenia. Three teams participated in the regular season, which was won by Triglav Kranj. For the playoffs, the top team from the regular season, Triglav Kranj, was joined by HDD Olimpija, which had participated in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga during the regular season, and Team Jesenice and Slavija, which had both played in the Inter-National League during the regular season. HDD Olimpija won the play-off championship by defeating Team Jesenice in the final.

The 2014–15 Adriatic League was the 7th season of the Adriatic Water Polo League, with 15 teams from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Slovenia participating in it.

The 2021 Triglav osiguranje Radivoj Korać Cup was the 19th season of the Serbian men's national basketball cup tournament. The tournament was held in Novi Sad between 11–14 February 2021. All games will be played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Serbia.
