The Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in Central Europe. The league is made up of teams from Austria, Italy and Slovenia.The league was established as a result of a merger between Serie A and the Inter-National League.
The Alps Hockey League was founded in spring 2016, and is a joint venture between the Austrian Ice Hockey Association, the Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio, and the Ice Hockey Federation of Slovenia. The three national governing bodies have stated that they are keen to ensure that the league is both of a high standard, and financially viable in the long term.In addition, the league has also stated that it is open to teams from other nations, including the Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia.
Regarding players, each team can sign a maximum four foreign born players. The AlpsHL operates a points based system similar to that of the EBEL, with each team having 16 points at their disposal.As a result of this, the league aims to focus on the development of young players from the participating countries.
In the 2020–21 season, the AlpsHL consisted of 16 teams, with seven teams from Austria and Italy, and two from Slovenia. Hockey Milano Rossoblu was the league's most recent expansion team, replacing in 2018 HC Neumarkt-Egna, which had withdrawn due to financial difficulties.However, after only one season, Milano also withdrew from the league.

The ICE Hockey League known as the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League for sponsorship reasons) is a Central European hockey league that also serves as the top-tier ice hockey league in Austria, it currently features additional teams from Italy, Hungary, and Slovakia. The league was known as the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (EBEL) from 2003 until 2020.

They are members of the Alps Hockey League and Slovenian Ice Hockey League. HDD Jesenice was founded in 2014. The club replaced a temporary team called Team Jesenice, which was established in 2013. HDD Jesenice previously competed in the Inter-National League from 2014 to 2016, before the league merged into the Alps Hockey League. The club won their first Slovenian Ice Hockey League in the 2014–15 season and as a result qualified for the 2015–16 IIHF Continental Cup. Their home arena is the Podmežakla Hall.
