    Khondaker Sakib Al-Hassan is a Bangladeshi cricketer and politician. He is a member of Parliament for Magura-1. He is known for his aggressive left-handed batting style in the middle order and controlled slow left-arm orthodox bowling. He is widely regarded as the greatest Bangladeshi sportsman and one of the greatest all-rounders of all time.

    Mohammad Junaid Siddique is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is sometimes referred to by his nickname Imrose. A left-handed batsman and occasional right arm off break bowler, he made his debut for Rajshahi Division in 2003/04 and played through the 2006/07 season. He made his Test and ODI debuts during the tour of New Zealand in 2007/08.

He is the first Bangladeshi to score a World Cup hundred. Mahmudullah started his career as a bowler and then converted into a batsman who could bowl off-breaks.

He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Bangladesh in 2011 against Zimbabwe at Harare. He made his Test match debut against the West Indies in September 2014. He made his Twenty20 International debut for Bangladesh against Zimbabwe on 15 January 2016.

The BPL is one of the three professional cricket leagues in Bangladesh. It is the 16th most attended premier league in the world. In winter, each team faces the other twice in the league stage. Following the conclusion of the regular season, the top four teams advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination game, and two qualifier games culminating in the Championship game, between the winner of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2.

    The Dhaka Platoon, formerly known as the Dhaka Dynamites, is a franchise cricket team that plays in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), representing the country's Dhaka Division. Following the 2012 competition, the Platoon are one of the BPL's seven existing members. The team is headquartered at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, and so is one of three teams playing in the city, alongside the Dhaka Division cricket team and Dhaka Metropolis cricket team which are active in first-class cricket.
