The following players won the FIFA World Cup while playing at Bayern Munich
Franz Anton Beckenbauer was a German professional football player, manager, and official. Nicknamed der Kaiser, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, and is one of nine players to have won the FIFA World Cup, the European Champions Cup, and the Ballon d'Or. Beckenbauer was a versatile player who started out as a midfielder, but made his name as a central defender. He is often credited as having invented the role of the modern sweeper.
Gerhard "Gerd" Müller was a German professional footballer. A prolific striker, especially in and around the six-yard box, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalscorers and players in the history of the sport. With success at club and international level, he is one of nine players to have won the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Champions League and the Ballon d'Or.
Miroslav Josef Klose is a German professional football manager and former player who currently serves as head coach of 1. FC Nürnberg. A striker, Klose is the all-time top scorer for Germany and holds the record for the most goals scored in the FIFA World Cup with 16 goals scored over 4 editions of the tournament between 2002 and 2014.
Josef Dieter "Sepp" Maier is a German former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Bayern Munich and the West Germany national team. Regarded as one of football's greatest goalkeepers, he was nicknamed "Die Katze von Anzing" for his fast reflexes, agility, flexibility, speed, and consistency. With 709 matches played across seventeen seasons, he was Bayern's all-time record appearance holder, until he was surpassed by Thomas Müller in 2024.
Karl-Heinz "Kalle" Rummenigge is a German football executive and former professional player. Considered one of the greatest German footballers ever, he was also the longtime Chairman of Executive Board of FC Bayern München AG, a daughter company of German Bundesliga team Bayern Munich.
Günter Theodor Netzer is a German former professional football player, executive and pundit. He achieved great success in Germany with Borussia Mönchengladbach in the early 1970s and, after moving to Spain in 1973, with Real Madrid. A technically gifted playmaker, Netzer played as an attacking midfielder or as a deep-lying playmaker and is considered one of the greatest passers in the game's history. He was voted German Footballer of the Year twice, in 1972 and 1973.
Andreas Ottl is a German former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He signed his first professional contract for Bayern Munich in 2005. He also played for Germany's U-21 Team.
Philipp Lahm is a German former professional footballer who played as a full-back. Considered by many to be one of the greatest full-backs of all time, Lahm was the longtime captain of Bayern Munich, having led them to numerous honours including the 2013 UEFA Champions League as part of the Treble.
Hans-Jörg Butt, often simply called Jörg Butt, is a German former footballer who played as a goalkeeper.
Klaus "Auge" Augenthaler is a German football manager and former player. A defender, he won seven Bundesliga titles in his 15-year club career with Bayern Munich. He also represented the West Germany national team, winning the FIFA World Cup in 1990.
Josef "Jupp" Heynckes is a German retired professional footballer and manager. For the majority of his playing career he was as a striker for Borussia Mönchengladbach in its golden era of the 1960s and '70s, when they won many national championships and the DFB-Pokal, as well as the UEFA Cup. During this period the team played in its only European Cup final in 1977, losing to Liverpool. He is the fourth-highest goalscorer in the history of the Bundesliga, with 220 goals. He was a member of the West Germany national team that won the UEFA Euro 1972 and the 1974 FIFA World Cup titles.
Ulrich "Uli" Hoeneß is a German football executive and former professional player who played as a forward. He played for West Germany at one World Cup and two European Championships, winning one tournament of each competition. During his playing career, he was mainly associated with Bayern Munich, where he won three Bundesliga titles and three European Cups.
Márcio Rafael Ferreira de Souza, commonly known as Rafinha, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for and captains the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club São Paulo. He is known as a skilled defender with good passing skills, quick pace, agility and a strong shot. He has earned four caps with the Brazil national team. Since 2015, he has the German citizenship.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the game, Müller has been praised for his positioning, finishing, playmaking, work-rate, and consistency in both scoring and creating goals.
The 2012–13 FC Bayern Munich season was the 114th season in the club's history and the 48th consecutive season in the top flight of German football, the Bundesliga, since the promotion of the team from the Regionalliga Süd in 1965. Before the start of the season, Bayern signed Xherdan Shaqiri, Dante, Claudio Pizarro, Mitchell Weiser, Tom Starke and Mario Mandžukić. Bayern also added holding midfielder Javi Martínez after the first week of the Bundesliga season at the transfer deadline.
The 1990–91 FC Bayern Munich season was the 91st season in the club's history and 26th season since promotion from Regionalliga Süd in 1965. Bayern finished three points behind champions 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga. In the DFB-Pokal, Bayern were eliminated in the first round for the first time in club history. Bayern reached the semifinals of the European Cup before being eliminated by Red Star Belgrade due to an own goal in the 90th minute of the second leg. The first competitive match of the season was the DFB-Supercup on 31 July which Bayern won by a score of 4–1 over 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
