The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are Centrally Funded Business Schools for management offering undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and executive programmes along with some additional courses in the field of business administration. The establishment of IIMs was initiated by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India, based on the recommendation of the Planning Commission of India.

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is a public business school located in Joka, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was the first Indian Institute of Management to be established, and has been recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India in 2017. Programmes offered by IIM Calcutta include a two-year full-time MBA, a one-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma (PGPEX-VLM), a one-year full-time MBA for experienced executives (MBAEx), Doctor of Business Administration programme, a two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics, and a one-year full-time programme in Healthcare Management. IIM Calcutta is one of only three triple accredited business schools in India, and the first to get the recognition. It is also the only business school in India which is a part of the CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education.

Indian Institute of Management Indore is an autonomous public business school located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in India. Founded in 1996, IIM Indore is the sixth institute in the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) system and was named as an institute of national importance in 2017 along with the other IIMs.

Ashishkumar Chauhan is an Indian business executive and administrator who is currently the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). A technocrat from IIT Bombay and IIM Calcutta, Ashish was a founding member of NSE. Prior to joining NSE back in 2022, he was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) for 10 years. Ashish is a member of the University Grants Commission and is the Chancellor of University of Allahabad. He also serves as a member of Governing Council of one of the premier B-Schools in India - IIM Calcutta. Ashish is best known as the father of modern financial derivatives in India, and is considered one of the foremost experts in financial market policies, Information technology, organized retail, telecommunications, cricket and Indian social issues. Ashish has been awarded Lifetime Achievement Award by Global Custodian

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rahul Mukerjee</span> Indian academic and statistician (born 1956)

Rahul Mukerjee is an Indian academic and statistician. He is a National Science Chair of the Government of India, hosted by the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, after his superannuation from the same institute in 2021 as a professor in the higher academic grade. He is also an emeritus scientist of the Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi.

The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur is a business school, located in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. As one of India's premier Indian Institutes of Management, the school has been accorded the status of an Institute of National Importance by the Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India. The school was established as an autonomous body in 2011 and offers a two-year full-time MBA program, one-year full-time postgraduate MBA programs, a Doctor of Business Administration program and other management development programs. It is one of the seven Indian Institutes of Management set up by the central government during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan.

Binay Bhushan Chakrabarti, commonly known as B. B. Chakrabarti, is an Indian academic and professor of management and finance. He was the Director of Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. Now the director is Prof Shailendra Singh, another professor of IIM Lucknow.

Vinayak Lohani is the founder of Parivaar, a humanitarian institution based in West Bengal. He, inspired by the spiritual and humanistic ideals of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda, decided to devote his entire life to serving the ‘Divine in Man’ as taught by Swami Vivekananda.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rohit Chadda</span> Indian businessman

Rohit Chadda is an Indian investment banker and entrepreneur, who serves as the CEO of the digital business at Essel Group. He was the co-founder of online food ordering platform Foodpanda. He is also the founder of omni-channel digital payments platform PayLo. He has been attributed for the turnaround of Zee Digital by bringing the digital business to the second position on ComScore from ninth position making Zee the second largest digital media group in India. He has been featured among Top Tech CEOs of the decade (2010-2020) in India and was featured among Fortune 40 under 40 in 2015.

Srikant Datar is an Indian-American economist and the Dean of Harvard Business School. At Harvard, he concurrently serves as the Arthur Lowes Dickinson Professor of Business Administration.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Krishnamurthy Subramanian</span> Indian economist

Krishnamurthy Venkata Subramanian is an Indian economist who served as the 17th Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India. Subramanian is a leading expert on economic policy, banking and corporate governance, who was the youngest Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, serving from 2018 to 2021. He has been appointed to the post of India's Executive Director at the IMF, with effect from November 1, 2022.
