Various Indian artists and films have received or been nominated for the Golden Globe Awards in different categories. [1] At the 16th Golden Globe Awards, V. Shantaram's 1957 Hindi-language film Do Aankhen Barah Haath (Two Eyes, Twelve Hands) won the Samuel Goldwyn International Film Award. [2] [3] At the 40th Golden Globe Awards 1982 English-language biographical film Gandhi , an international co-production between NFDC India and the United Kingdom, won Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film. At the 66th Golden Globe Awards, Indian composer A. R. Rahman won the Best Original Score for Slumdog Millionaire . [5] [6] At the 80th Golden Globe Awards, the Telugu language film RRR got nominated for two categories including Best Non-English Language Film; and the Indian composer M. M. Keeravani won the Best Original Song for "Naatu Naatu". [7]

In a career spanning over three decades, Keeravani has earned numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Critics' Choice Movie Award, two National Film Awards, eleven Nandi Awards, eight Filmfare Awards, and a LAFCA Award. In 2023, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri for his contributions towards Indian cinema.

Do Aankhen Barah Haath is a 1957 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by V. Shantaram, who also starred. It is considered to be one of the classics of Hindi cinema and is based on humanistic psychology. It won a Silver Bear at the 8th Berlin International Film Festival and a Golden Globe Award in the Samuel Goldwyn International Film Award for best film produced outside of the United States category. The film is also remembered for the song "Aye Maalik Tere Bande Hum", sung by Lata Mangeshkar and written by Bharat Vyas.

Kanukuntla Subhash Chandrabose is an Indian lyricist and singer who works in Telugu cinema. Chandrabose debuted as a lyricist with the 1995 film Taj Mahal. In a career spanning over 25 years, he has written lyrics for about 3600 songs in over 850 films. Chandrabose won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for the song "Naatu Naatu" from RRR (2022). He has received one National Award, two Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards, and three SIIMA Awards as a lyricist.

The Banshees of Inisherin is a 2022 black tragicomedy film directed, written, and co-produced by Martin McDonagh. Set on a remote fictional island off the west coast of Ireland in 1923, the film stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson as two lifelong friends who find themselves at an impasse when one abruptly ends their relationship, with severe consequences for both of them; Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan co-star. It reunites Farrell and Gleeson after McDonagh's directorial debut In Bruges (2008).

The 80th Golden Globe Awards honored the best in film and American television of 2022, as chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). The ceremony was held on January 10, 2023, from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, produced by Dick Clark Productions, Jesse Collins Entertainment, and the HFPA. It aired live in the United States on NBC and streamed on Peacock. Comedian Jerrod Carmichael hosted the ceremony. This was the final Golden Globes ceremony to air on NBC before the HFPA was rebranded as the Golden Globe Foundation on June 12, 2023.

The 94th National Board of Review Awards, honoring the best in film for 2022, were announced on December 8, 2022.

The 48th Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards, given by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA), honored the best in film for 2022. Both Everything Everywhere All at Once and Tár received the award for Best Film, being the fourth time the association gave the award to two films in the same year. For the first time in three years, the association held an in-person awards event where all the winners were honored on January 14, 2023.

The 16th Houston Film Critics Society Awards were announced on February 18, 2023, at the Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston (MATCH) in Texas. The nominations were announced on January 10, 2023, with The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All at Once leading the nominations with nine each. Both films won the most awards with three each, with Everything Everywhere All at Once winning Best Picture. The nominees for the Texas Independent Film Award were announced on December 7, 2022.

The 26th Online Film Critics Society Awards, honoring the best in film for 2022, were announced on January 23, 2023. The nominations were announced on January 18, 2023.
