List of Olympic female artistic gymnasts for Italy

Gymnastics events have been staged at the Olympic Games since 1896. [1] Italian female gymnasts have competed in every Summer Olympics since 1928, except for 1932, 1964, and 1980. [2] [3] In total, 80 female gymnasts have represented Italy. [4]

Italian women have won two team medals at the Olympics – the 1928 team silver and the 2024 team silver. [5] Vanessa Ferrari earned Italy's first individual medal, a silver on the floor exercise, at the 2020 Olympic Games. At the 2024 Olympic Games, Alice D'Amato became the first Italian female artistic gymnast to win an Olympic gold medal, securing the gold on the balance beam. [6] [7]

Monica Bergamelli, Vanessa Ferrari, and Miranda Cicognani are the only Italian female gymnasts who have competed in at least three Olympics, with Ferrari having competed in four. [8] [9]

The qualifications round of the women's artistic gymnastics competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics was held at the North Greenwich Arena on July 29. The top 8 teams advanced to the team final, the top 24 gymnasts to the individual all-around final, and the top 8 gymnasts on each apparatus to the apparatus finals.

Carlotta Ferlito is an Italian artistic gymnast. Since starting her senior career in 2011, Ferlito has won two medals at the European Championships and represented her country at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. She is the first Italian gymnast to compete the "Mustafina" on floor.

Parolari was a member of the Italian team that won a gold medal at the 2006 European Championships. She is the 2008 Italian Champion in the all-around.

The 2015 City of Jesolo Trophy was the eighth edition of the City of Jesolo Trophy competition and was held March 25–29, 2015 at the SGA Gymnasium Treviso in Jesolo, Italy. Teams from Italy, the United States, Canada, Australia and France competed at the event.

As a junior, she won a silver medal in the junior team competition at the 2012 European Championships. She also attended the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. She is the first italian gymnast to compete a full twisting back layout on beam.

The Italy women's national artistic gymnastics team represents Italy in FIG international competitions.

Giorgia Villa is an Italian artistic gymnast. She was a member of the teams that won silver at the 2024 Olympic Games and bronze at the 2019 World Championships. Additionally, she was part of the gold-winning teams at both the 2022 Mediterranean Games and the 2022 European Championships. Individually, she is the 2018, 2020, and 2021 Italian national champion, the 2018 Youth Olympic champion, and the 2018 European junior all-around and beam champion. She is also a member of the Italian national team.

Individually she is the 2022 Mediterranean Games bronze medalist on vault as well as the 2022 and 2024 European bronze medalist on floor exercise.

Manila Esposito is an Italian artistic gymnast. She was a member of the silver medal winning team at the 2024 Olympic Games where she also added a bronze medal on the balance beam. Additionally she was a member of the gold medal winning team at the 2024 European Championships and silver medal winning team at the 2023 European Championships.
