Numerous critical and industry groups have acclaimed Everything Everywhere All at Once, a 2022 American film written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (collectively known as "Daniels"), who co-produced it with Anthony and Joe Russo. The film garnered many awards and nominations in various categories with particular recognition for its directing, writing, producing, acting, and editing; it is currently estimated to be the most awarded film of all time. At the 95th Academy Awards, Everything Everywhere All at Once received 11 nominations and won seven awards, topping all other movies that year. Several of its nominations made Oscar history: Michelle Yeoh became the first Asian woman nominated in the Best Actress category, [lower-alpha 1] while Stephanie Hsu's nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category, alongside Hong Chau's nomination for The Whale , marked the first time two Asian actresses were nominated in that category in the same year. The film won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress for Yeoh, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan, Best Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing, becoming the first film to win six above-the-line Oscars. It was the third film to win three acting Oscars (after A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) and Network (1976)), and the first to also win Best Picture. [2] [3] [4]
The National Board of Review and the American Film Institute named it a top-ten film of 2022. Yeoh and Quan received awards for their performances at the 80th Golden Globes. Quan also won Best Supporting Actor at the 28th Critics' Choice Awards.

Fire of Love is a 2022 independent documentary film about the lives and careers of volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft. Directed, written, and produced by Sara Dosa, the film had its world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2022, where it won the Jonathan Oppenheim Editing Award. It was released on July 6, 2022, by National Geographic Documentary Films and Neon. It received acclaim from critics, and was nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 95th Academy Awards.

The nominations for both events were announced on the HCA official YouTube channel and app on December 8 and December 15, 2022, respectively; Jalyn Hall, Jude Hill, and Madeleine McGraw announced the December 15 nominations.
