List of football stadiums in Ghana

The following is a list of football stadiums in Ghana , with a capacity of at least 5,000 spectators. Some stadiums used for other purposes like athletics, concerts, cultural events, politics and rugby union. [1] The 11,000-capacity UG Sports Stadium in Accra is known as the main rugby union stadium in Ghana. [2] Tarkwa and Aboso stadium,built by TnA mining previously in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality, Western region in Ghana and renovated recently by Goldfields Ghana Ltd.

The 13th African Games, also known as Accra 2023, were hosted by Ghana from 8–23 March 2024. Despite having Accra as the main host city, the games were held in two sub-host cities: Kumasi and Cape Coast. The games were initially planned to be held in August 2023, however a failure to complete facilities on time and arguments over marketing revenue resulted in the games being delayed to March 2024.

The 2000 CAF Champions League Final was a football tie held over two legs in December 2000. Hearts of Oak of Ghana beat Espérance of Tunisia 5–2.

Nzema Kotoko Football Club is a Ghanaian professional football club based in Nzema in the Western Region of Ghana. The club currently competes in Zone Two of the Division One League which is the second tier of the football league system in Ghana, and the MTN FA Cup. They are rivals with city neighbours Karela United.
