The Sardar Patel Stadium is a cricket ground on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, India, it was established in 1982 and has a capacity of 54,000. The ground hosted its first international match in 1983 when India played the West Indies in a Test match, One Day Internationals (ODIs) have been played at the ground since 1984. [1] The ground has been the scene of 20 Test five wicket hauls. [2] In cricket, a five-wicket haul (also known as a "five-for" or "fifer") refers to a bowler taking five or more wickets in a single innings. This is regarded as a notable achievement. The Narendra Modi Stadium, previously known as the Motera Stadium, is a cricket stadium situated inside Sardar Patel Sports Enclave in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. As of 2020, it is the largest cricket stadium in the world and the second largest stadium overall, with a seating capacity of 110,000 spectators. It is owned by the Gujarat Cricket Association and is a venue for Test, ODI, and T20I cricket matches.
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium is a cricket stadium in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. It was named after Sawai Man Singh II, the erstwhile ruler of the princely state of Jaipur. Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, abbreviated as ZAC Stadium and previously known as Bir Shrestha Shahid Ruhul Amin Stadium, is a cricket stadium located in the port city of Chittagong, in south-eastern Bangladesh. Akshar Rajeshbhai Patel, also spelled as Axar Patel, is an Indian international cricketer. He plays for Gujarat in domestic cricket and for the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premiere League. He is an all-rounder who plays as a left-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He was signed up by the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians in 2013 but did not get a chance to play until he was released. The England cricket team are touring India during February and March 2021 to play four Test matches, three One Day International (ODI) and five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Tests formed part of the inaugural 2019–21 ICC World Test Championship, and the ODI series will form part of the inaugural 2020–23 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. In December 2020, the full itinerary was released with three venues hosting the entire tour.
