Louisiana Highway 364 (LA 364) consisted of a pontoon bridge across Bayou Lafourche in Mathews, Lafourche Parish.
The route was 0.06 miles (0.097 km) long, connecting LA 1 and LA 308 which run along the west and east banks of the bayou, respectively. It was an undivided two-lane highway for its entire length.
In the pre-1955 state highway system, LA 364 was designated as State Route C-2074. [16] LA 364 was created with the 1955 Louisiana Highway renumbering, [17] and became defunct in July 2004 when a new vertical lift bridge was completed 0.8 miles (1.3 km) downstream on an extension of LA 654. [18] The Mathews Pontoon Bridge was closed and demolished as soon as its replacement was opened. [18]

The route heads east from LA 370 and makes a zigzag via LA 13. Continuing east through Branch, LA 365 intersects LA 35 southwest of Church Point. East of Branch, LA 365 passes through a point known as Higginbotham and intersects LA 95. The highway then zigzags to the southeast and reaches the St. Landry Parish line. The route heads north from exit 27 on I-10 and travels along Sampson Street, an undivided four-lane highway with a center turning lane, through the city of Westlake. North of town, LA 378 narrows to two lanes and makes a zigzag east onto Phillips Road and north onto Davis Road to cross a vertical lift bridge over the West Fork of the Calcasieu River. Curving due east onto Sam Houston Jones Parkway, the route again widens to four lanes with a center lane and intersects LA 378 Spur, which provides access to Sam Houston Jones State Park. LA 378 continues east to its terminus at US 171 in the unincorporated community of Moss Bluff. [32] [34]

The route heads north from LA 112 and crosses from Beauregard Parish into Vernon Parish. LA 399 turns east to follow LA 10 briefly before resuming a northeastern course to Fullerton. Here it intersects LA 458 and turns north to continue the route of that highway past Fullerton Lake to the end of state maintenance at Lookout Road, a local road. The northernmost section of the route is located within the Vernon Unit of the Kisatchie National Forest. LA 112 is an undivided two-lane highway for its entire length. [49] [52] [53]
Louisiana Highway 109 is a state highway located in southwestern Louisiana that runs 40.0 miles (64.4 km) in a north–south direction from U.S. Highway 90 and LA 3112 southwest of Vinton to LA 27 at Juanita, a point north of DeQuincy. A largely rural route, LA 109 parallels the Texas–Louisiana border and passes through the community of Starks in Calcasieu Parish where it intersects LA 12. The southern terminus of LA 109 is located just north of I-10 between Orange, Texas and Vinton, Louisiana.
Louisiana Highway 104 is a state highway located in southwestern Louisiana. It runs 41.4 miles (66.6 km) in a west–east direction from LA 26 southeast of Oberlin to U.S. Highway 190 in Opelousas. Along the way, it passes through the town of Mamou and intersects various north–south routes that service points along US 190 such as Elton, Basile, and Eunice. East of Mamou, connections are also made to Ville Platte, the St. Landry Parish seat, on US 167/LA 10.
Louisiana Highway 106 is a state highway located primarily in Evangeline Parish that runs 24.2 miles (38.9 km) in a west–east direction from LA 10 east of Oakdale to LA 29 south of Bunkie. Along the way, LA 106 passes through the towns of Pine Prairie and St. Landry and intersects U.S. Highway 167. Near the east end of its route, LA 106 passes through an interchange with Interstate 49 (I-49) between Opelousas and Alexandria in the southwest corner of Avoyelles Parish.
Louisiana Highway 108 is a state highway located in western Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana that runs 24.8 miles (39.9 km) in a general west–east direction from Interstate 10 (I-10) in Vinton to U.S. Highway 90 in Sulphur. The highway runs in roughly a "U" shape along section line roads, dipping southward from Vinton then east parallel to I-10 and back to the north toward Sulphur. The majority of the route is signed west–east except for the eastern leg running north to Sulphur, which is signed north–south. The latter section is also the most travelled, providing access to the oil and petrochemical industry south of Sulphur and a connection to LA 27.
