Guizhou Province of southwestern China

Guizhou is a landlocked province in the southwest region of the People's Republic of China. Its capital and largest city is Guiyang, in the center of the province. Guizhou borders the autonomous region of Guangxi to the south, Yunnan to the west, Sichuan to the northwest, the municipality of Chongqing to the north, and Hunan to the east. The population of Guizhou stands at 38.5 million, ranking 18th among the provinces in China.

Guiyang Prefecture-level city in Guizhou, China

Guiyang, historically rendered as Kweiyang is the capital of Guizhou province of the People's Republic of China. It is located in the center of the province, situated on the east of the Yunnan–Guizhou Plateau, and on the north bank of the Nanming River, a branch of the Wu River. The city has an elevation of about 1,100 meters (3,600 ft). It has an area of 8,034 square kilometers (3,102 sq mi). Zunyi Prefecture-level city in Guizhou, Peoples Republic of China

Zunyi is a prefecture-level city in northern Guizhou province, People's Republic of China, situated between the provincial capital Guiyang to the south and Chongqing to the north, also bordering Sichuan to the northwest. Along with Guiyang and Liupanshui, it is one of the most important cities of the province. The metro area is made of three urban districts of the city, Huichuan, Honghuagang, and Bozhou, had a population of 2,360,549 people; and the whole prefecture, including 14 county-level administration area as a whole, had a population of 6,606,675 at the 2020 census.

Bijiang District District in Guizhou, Peoples Republic of China

Bijiang District, is the seat of the city of Tongren, Guizhou province, People's Republic of China. The area was known as the county-level city of Tongren until November 2011, when it was renamed Bijiang District, and Tongren Prefecture converted to the prefecture-level city of Tongren. The district has an area of 1,514 square kilometres (585 sq mi) and has a population of 340,000.

Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, colloquially Gui Cai, is a provincial research university located in Guiyang, Guizhou with a focus on management, economics, and research on big data in finance. The university grants bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees through 17 academic departments and 62 undergraduate majors, and operates the Guiyang Institute for Big Data and Finance. Its honorary president is Professor Hong Yinxing, former Party Secretary of Nanjing University.

Nanming District District in Guizhou, Peoples Republic of China

Nanming District is one of 6 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province, Southwest China. Nanming District serves as an economic powerhouse for the city, bringing in GDP of over 30.17 Billion Yuan as of 2011. As of 2004, the district is the second highest ranked economic zone in Guizhou Province according to China's National Bureau of Statistics. It is home to the Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport.

Nasu, or Nasu proper, is a Loloish language spoken by a quarter million Yi people of China. Nasu proper and Wusa Nasu are two of six Yi languages recognized by the government of China. Unlike most written Yi languages, Nasu proper uses the Pollard (Miao) script. A distinct form of the Yi script was traditionally used for Wusa, though few can still read it.

Chen Miner Chinese politician

Chen Min'er is a Chinese politician, currently serving as the Communist Party Secretary of Chongqing, an interior region governed as a municipality. Chen spent most of his career in his native Zhejiang province, serving as head of the provincial department of media, and Vice Governor of Zhejiang. In 2013, he was transferred to Guizhou as governor, and in 2015 promoted to provincial Communist Party Secretary. Chen was catapulted to prominence in 2017 in the aftermath of the ouster of Chongqing party chief Sun Zhengcai, a move that made him well-positioned for further elevation.

Kong Lingzhong is a Chinese politician who spent most of his career in southwest China's Guizhou province. At the height of his career, he served as vice-chairman of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He served three terms as vice-chairman in 2008, 2010 and 2012. As of 2016 he was under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-graft watchdog, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. Then he was placed on one-year probation within the Party and was demoted to less responsible jobs.

Sanqiao 三锹话 (三橇) is a mixed Dong–Miao language spoken in Liping County and Jinping County, Guizhou, China by about 6,000 people.
