Ningxia Autonomous region of China

Ningxia, , officially the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (NHAR), is a landlocked autonomous region in the northwest of the People's Republic of China. Formerly a province, Ningxia was incorporated into Gansu in 1954 but was later separated from Gansu in 1958 and reconstituted as an autonomous region for the Hui people, one of the 56 officially recognised nationalities of China. Twenty percent of China's Hui population lives in Ningxia.

Shizuishan Prefecture-level city in Ningxia, Peoples Republic of China

Shizuishan, formerly Shizuizi, is a prefecture-level city in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. It is the northernmost prefecture in Ningxia and the second most populous, after the regional capital Yinchuan, bordered by Inner Mongolia to all directions except the south. Shizuishan sits on the western bank of the Yellow River on the western side of the Ordos Loop. It was formerly a center for caravans traveling the northern routes to and from Beijing across the Ordos Desert.

Ma Hongkui Republic of China general (1892–1970)

Ma Hongkui was a prominent warlord in China during the Republic of China era, ruling the province of Ningxia. His rank was lieutenant general. His courtesy name was Shao-yun (少雲). In 1950, Hongkui migrated to the United States, where he lived until he died in 1970.

Shimane University — colloquially known as Shima-dai (島大) — is a national university in Japan. Although formally established as a university in 1949, Shima-dai's origins date back to the late 19th century. In 2003 it merged with the Shimane Medical University. Wang Zhengwei

Wang Zhengwei is a Chinese politician, economist, and expert on Islamic affairs. Of Hui ethnic heritage, Wang served as the Chairman of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission between 2013 and 2016, and Chairman (Governor) of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region between 2007 and 2013. He is currently a Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Ningxia University is a public university located in Yinchuan, China. It is co-administrated by Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is a member of the former Project 211 and a Chinese state Double First Class University, included in the Double First Class University Plan identified by the Ministry of Education.

China Family Panel Studies is a nationally representative, biennial longitudinal general social survey project designed to document changes in Chinese society, economy, population, education, and health. The CFPS was launched in 2010 by the Institute of Social Science Survey (ISSS) of Peking University, China. The data were collected at the individual, family, and community levels and are targeted for use in academic research and public policy analysis. CFPS focuses on the economic and non-economic well-being of the Chinese people, and covers topics such as economic activities, educational attainment, family relationships and dynamics, migration, and physical and mental health. The themes cover social, economic, education, health and so forth.

Hu Songshan

Hu Songshan (1880–1955), a Hui, was born in 1880, in Tongxin County, Ningxia, China. His Muslim name in Arabic was Sa'd al-Din. Although he was born Sufi and turned Wahhabi, he changed his views and turned his back on Wahhabism after a Hajj to Mecca and later became an important imam, scripturalist, and leader of the Yihewani Muslim sect in China. He was influential and played an important role in Chinese Islam in this position as he propagated reformist doctrines in Ningxia in his later life. Hu also played a role in rallying Muslims against the Japanese invasion of China.

Double First Class University Plan Chinese university development plan

The World First Class UniversityandFirst Class Academic Discipline Construction, together known as Double First Class, is a tertiary education development initiative designed by the People's Republic of China central government in 2015, which aims to comprehensively develop elite Chinese universities into world-class institutions by the end of 2050 through developing and strengthening their individual faculty departments. The Double First-Class University Plan has made new arrangements for the Chinese higher education institution development. The universities included in this plan are called Double First Class Universities.

North Minzu University is a Chinese university located at Yinchuan City, Ningxia Province, China. It is a comprehensive national institution of higher education which is affiliated to the State Ethnic Affairs Commission. The university is authorized to grant bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees approved by the Academic Degree Commission of the State Council. NMU is the only university at the central ministry and commission level that is established in an autonomous region, located in Yinchuan, the capital city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The university was founded in 1984 as Northwest Second Minzu University. In 2008, it was renamed to North Minzu University.

Dai Xianghui is a former Chinese procurator and politician. He was investigated by China's top anti-graft agency in September 2021. Previously he served as deputy secretary of Ningxia Regional Politics and Law Commission.

Dang Yanbao is a Chinese entrepreneur and a chairman of the Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group. In 2010, he became a legal representative of the Ningxia Baofeng Group Co., Ltd. In 2020, the Baofeng Group was ranked 307 among the top 2020 private manufacturing enterprises in China.
