The Los Extraterrestres World Tour is the third world by the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel to support their fifth studio album Wisin vs. Yandel: Los Extraterrestres. [1] [2] This tour included their first official arena tour in The United States and their first presentation as headliners in Mexico, Paraguay and Argentina. During the tour the album was re-released and for this reason some concerts were renamed under the title Los Extraterestres: Otra Dimension. [3]

Overview

In the original plans, the tour was expected to end in December in Bolivia and afterwards the tour was expected to start another tour in relation to their 10th anniversary in music in early 2009. However, the concerts in Bolivia were pushed back to January 2009 and those plans were scrapped. [4]

The tour contained their first arena tour in the United States. The concert in Los Angeles set a record in attendance by a Hispanic act at the Staples Center. [5] The New York Times gave a positive review to their concert at New York's Madison Square Garden and titled the article "Two Romeos Romance the World to an Adrenalized Reggaetón Beat". Also, it was reported that the concert was sold out. [6]

The duo closed the Viña 2008 Internacional Festival, becoming just the third reggaeton act to perform at the festival. In Mexico, they performed at the National Auditorium, becoming the first reggaeton act to do so. [7] Around 10,000 fans showed up to their concert in Lima. [8]

Wisin & Yandel is a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo consisting of Wisin and Yandel. They started their career in the late 1990s and have been together since, winning several awards including a Grammy Award in 2009. They became the first and the only reggaeton artists to win one. In late 2013, they announced they would take a pause in their career as a duo, after their Líderes Tour. In a 2014 interview with People en Español, Yandel confirmed that the group would not be disbanding. In February 2018, following a five-year hiatus, the duo announced they would be reuniting, and are set to embark on a world tour, as well as release new music. They sold over 15 million records.

On November 13, 2008, the album received the Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album and Lo Nuestro Award for Urban Album of the Year. Also, the album won Grammy Award for Best Latin Urban Album on 2009.

Monserrate and DJ Urba are reggaeton producers from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, respectively. They have been on the business for some years, but they really got a start when Daddy Yankee hired them to produce his Barrio Fino Album. Then they followed up with the Barrio Fino en Directo Album. They are aligned with Luny Tunes's Mas Flow Inc and Daddy Yankee's El Cartel Records.

The Big Boss World Tour was a concert tour by reggaeton singer Daddy Yankee to promote his album El Cartel: The Big Boss. This was his second arena tour in the United States and his first official world tour. The tour started in Agust 24, 2007 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico and was expected to end on December 8, 2007 in Cali's Estadio Pascual Guerrero. However, due to the success of his soundtrack Talento de Barrio, more dates were added and the tour extended to 2008.

La Última Vuelta World Tour was the eighth and farewell concert tour by Puerto Rican rapper and singer Daddy Yankee, in support of his seventh and final studio album Legendaddy (2022). Comprising 89 shows, the tour began on July 16, 2022 in Torremolinos, Spain and concluded on December 22, 2022 in Miami, Florida. It visited North America twice while making a one-month-lasting stop in South America, as well as a single European show in Spain as part of a music festival.

The La Última Mision World Tour is the farewell concert tour by reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel to support their final studio album La Última Misión (2022). The tour commenced on May 27, 2022 in Medellin, Colombia and is set to end on December 31, 2022 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The tour consists of two legs, the first in Latin America and the second leg includes 28 shows in United States and Canada and it is set to conclude with a record-breaking 14 consecutive shows at José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico.

The Pa'l Mundo Tour is the first world tour by the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel to promote their fifth studio album Pa'l Mundo. It consisted of two legs in Latin America and United States. This tour included their first presentation at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico and it marked the first time that a reggateon act sold out two consecutive nights at the venue. Also, their presentation in Radio City Music Hall in New York and Altos de Chavon in Dominican Republic, marked the first time that a reggaeton act performed at those venues. Both concerts were reported sold out.

The Los Vaqueros Tour is the second concert tour by reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel to support their album Los Vaqueros. The tour consisted of a series of concerts and festivals in Latin America and included the concert titled "La Triologia del genero" with reggaeton superstar Don Omar and had the highest attendance for a reggaeton concert at the time with around 80,000 fans.

The La Revolución World Tour is the fourth world tour by the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel to support their sixth studio album La Revolución. Consisted on three legs including 16 shows in the United States, the duo largest arena tour at the time. The tour was planned to end on December 6, 2009, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. However, the tour was expanded to 2010 due the high demand including a second arena leg in the United States. During the stop in Argentina and Puerto Rico, the concerts was recorded and later released as La Revolución: Live. Performing in big and large venues in Latin America, it was the duo most extense and successful tour.
