Luis Miguel concert chronology

Luis Miguel Tour was a concert tour performed by Luis Miguel to promote his album Luis Miguel . The tour was announced during a press conference from the Augustus Ballroom at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on September 13, 2010. [1] Pollstar ranked the tour at number five of the highest-grossing tours of 2011 in North America. [2]

History

The tour began in Las Vegas with four concerts in celebration of the proclamation of independence of Mexico. Later, the tour continued to South America where he visited Peru, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Bolivia [3]

In January 2011, Luis Miguel returned to the United States for six concerts in the following cities: San Diego, Palm Springs, Los Angeles and San Jose. [3]

In February 2011, a season of concerts in Mexico began, with twenty concerts occurring at the National Auditorium. Luis Miguel then performed at cities including Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puebla, Leon, San Luis Potosí, Torreon, Querétaro, Veracruz and Tuxtla. Over in Central America, the tour came to Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. He returned to Mexico for a total of 41 concerts. [3]

In May he opened another concert stage in the United States and Canada. The North American part of the tour took Luis Miguel to cities such as Miami, Orlando, Toronto, Chicago, Newark, Dallas, Tucson, El Paso, Albuquerque, Laredo, Hidalgo, San Antonio, Houston, Los Angeles, Fresno, Phoenix, and then close in Chula Vista, San Bernardino and Las Vegas. [3] The Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico were also tour locations.

In February 2012 he began the celebration of 30 years of career with a concert in Punta del Este, and then participated in the "Viña del Mar International Song Festival" in Chile. Later, Luis Miguel opened the Mexico City Arena. He also visited Tampico and Monterrey. [3]

In March he returned to Central America, particularly Costa Rica and Panama. Comes back to South America where he visited countries like Venezuela, Ecuador and Brazil (the latter not visited for 13 years). [3]

In April he arrived in Spain for nine concerts, in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Malaga, Alicante, Palma, Caceres, and Santiago de Compostela. [3]

Miguel was more involved with the songwriting on this record than on earlier albums and was assisted by composers including Arturo Pérez, Armando Manzanero, and Juan Carlos Calderón. Despite the popularity of his contemporaries Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias who crossed over to the English-language market, Miguel preferred to sing and record in Spanish at the time.

33 is the fifteenth studio album by Mexican singer Luis Miguel. It was released through Warner Music Latina on 30 September 2003. It is a pop record which contains pop ballads and uptempo disco numbers. The album was produced by Miguel and recorded in Hollywood, California. 33 was promoted by two singles: "Te Necesito" and "Un Te Amo". It was also promoted by a tour which lasted from 2003 to 2004. Several songwriters including Armando Manzanero, Juan Luis Guerra, and Kike Santander contributed to the compositions in the record.

El Concierto is the second live album by Mexican recording artist Luis Miguel, released on 17 October 1995 by WEA Latina. It was recorded from his performances at the National Auditorium in Mexico and at the José Amalfitani Stadium in 1994 during his Segundo Romance Tour. The album features live covers of José Alfredo Jiménez's songs, which were previously unreleased. The first two songs were released as singles, the former reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and the latter peaking at number three on the same chart.

<i>Cómplices</i> 2008 studio album by Luis Miguel

Cómplices (transl.Accomplices) is the 18th studio album by Mexican singer Luis Miguel, released on 2 May 2008 by Warner Music Latina. The record is a collaboration with Spanish musician Manuel Alejandro, who wrote and arranged the songs, and co-produced the album with Luis Miguel. Musically, it is a pop album of mostly ballads and a few uptempo tracks with lyrics emphasizing romance. Two singles were released to promote the album: "Si Tú Te Atreves" and "Te Desean". To further promote the record, Luis Miguel embarked on the year-long Cómplices Tour from September 2008 to September 2009. He performed in North America and a few countries in South America.

México En La Piel Tour was a concert tour performed by Luis Miguel in support of his studio albums México en la Piel and later Navidades during 2006–2007. On this tour, Luis Miguel performed his recent pop songs, his newest mariachi songs, and also his back-catalogue. Two press conferences were held to present the album México en la Piel – one in the National Art Museum (MUNAL) of Mexico City and another in Madrid. In late 2006, Luis Miguel presents his album Navidades in New York City.

The 33 Tour was a concert tour performed by Luis Miguel during the years 2003 and 2004 to promote his last album 33. He sang 89 concerts during this tour of a duration about 95 minutes. Luis Miguel performed at Mexico's National Auditorium, as well as other prestigious international venues such as Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Spain and José Amalfitani Stadium in Argentina.

The Amarte Es Un Placer Tour was a concert tour by Luis Miguel to promote his album Amarte Es Un Placer. This tour had a length of 8 months and ran through Mexico, US, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Venezuela, Brazil and Spain between 1999 and 2000. It was the highest-grossing tour ever made by a Spanish-speaking artist, as well as the most extended. The tour consisted of 99 concerts, and was attended by approximately 1.5 million fans. These two records have been broken by another tour of the same artist, the Mexico En La Piel Tour.

The Mis Romances Tour was a concert tour performed by Luis Miguel during the year 2002 to promote his 2001 album Mis Romances. The tour consisted in 63 concerts and ran through US, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. In February he performed at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, California for six consecutive sold-out nights drawing more than 32,000 spectators, beating his previous record of five consecutive concerts in this venue, he played also two more concerts in September. Miguel performed at Mexico's Aztec Stadium for first time in his career in front of 80,000 spectators, and also gave twelve nights at National Auditorium in Mexico City.

Cómplices Tour was a concert tour by the Mexican singer Luis Miguel to promote his album Cómplices. The tour consisted of 91 concerts and ran through, US, Canada, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico between 2008 and 2009, grossing $36.1 million from 73 shows reported with 450,000 spectators.

The Segundo Romance Tour was a concert tour performed by Luis Miguel during the last part of 1994 to promote his last album. He began the tour in Mexico before the official release of Segundo Romance, performing the new songs of the album on the 16 sold-out concerts at the National Auditorium in Mexico City.

The Deja Vu Tour, previously named as The Hits Tour during 2014, is a series of concerts performed by Mexican artist Luis Miguel to perform a brand new setlist consisting of his earliest hits as well as his most recent hits included in productions such as México En La Piel (2004) and Luis Miguel (2010). Even though, in 2014 the USA Tour advertising mentioned it as "Tour 2014" and the Sudamerican advertising as "The Show" these were not the tour official names. Along with the tour start date the single "Deja Vu" came out, it can be inferred that this is the reason why the tour was renamed as "Deja Vu".

The Aries Tour was launched by Luis Miguel to some United States and Latin American countries to promote his album Aries. It began on 6 May 1993, in Guadalajara and ended on 24 July 1994, in Costa Rica.

The Movimiento Tour was the eleventh concert tour by Puerto Rican recording artist Ricky Martin, in support of his eleventh studio album, which was set to be called Movimiento (2020). The tour began in San Juan, Puerto Rico at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum on February 7, 2020. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, more than half of the scheduled dates were canceled.
