Coatesville is a city in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 13,100 at the 2010 census. Coatesville is approximately 39 miles west of Philadelphia. It developed along Lancaster Turnpike, beginning in the late 18th century. It spans U.S. Route 30, the "Main Line" highway that runs west of Philadelphia.

Waverley is a mansion, formerly a plantation house and now a historic house museum, in Clay County, Mississippi, ten miles east of West Point. Built in the 1838, it is architecturally unique among Mississippi's antebellum mansions for its enormous octagonal cupola. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973.
The Loren Andrus Octagon House, also known as the Washington Octagon House, is a historic octagon house located at 57500 Van Dyke Avenue just north of 26 Mile Road in Washington Township, Macomb County, Michigan. On September 3, 1971, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
The Nathan B. Devereaux Octagon House is an historic octagonal house located at 66425 Eight Mile Road in Northfield Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. The house is one of only three extant octagonal houses in Washtenaw County, and remains in excellent and near original condition. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
Ercildoun, population about 100, is an unincorporated community in East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The hamlet was founded by Quakers and was an early center of the abolitionist movement. In 1985 the entire hamlet, including 31 properties, was listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. Of these properties two were vacant land, 14 were significant buildings, ten were contributing buildings, and five buildings, built in the 1950s, were non-contributing. The Lukens Pierce House, an octagon house listed separately on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, is located about half a mile northwest of the hamlet. Ercildoun is one of about ten hamlets in the township, which has no cities or towns, but has 31 sites listed on the National Register. It is one of the larger hamlets, located near the center of the township, and historically among the best known. The city of Coatesville is about 3 miles north.
St. Joseph on the Brandywine is a historic Roman Catholic church complex and national historic district located at 10 Barley Mill Road in Greenville, New Castle County, Delaware. The district encompasses four contributing buildings and one contributing site. The original church was built in 1841 by the duPont family for Irish and Italian Catholic workers at the duPont works. Additions were made in 1848, 1878, 1941 and 1950, and the present form displays very little of the original church structure. It is a stuccoed stone structure, painted yellow, with the pedimented gable of the facade pierced by the church's steeple. The other buildings consist of a rectory, convent, and school.
Mortonville is an unincorporated area and historic hamlet in Chester County, Pennsylvania on the eastern bank of the West Branch Brandywine Creek. It consists of about a half-dozen structures, two of which are on the National Register of Historic Places: the Mortonville Hotel, and the 12.5-foot-long (3.8 m) "Bridge in East Fallowfield Township" which crosses a mill race a few feet east of a larger bridge. The larger bridge, known as the Mortonville Bridge, was also listed on the NRHP until 2010 when it was delisted following a renovation. The two bridges are in East Fallowfield Township, while most other structures are in Newlin Township.
Farmington is a house near Charlottesville, in Albemarle County, Virginia, that was greatly expanded by a design by Thomas Jefferson that Jefferson executed while he was President of the United States. The original house was built in the mid-18th century for Francis Jerdone on a 1,753-acre (709 ha) property. Jerdone sold the land and house to George Divers, a friend of Jefferson, in 1785. In 1802, Divers asked Jefferson to design an expansion of the house. The house, since greatly enlarged, is now a clubhouse.
The Frederick P. Currier House is a private residential structure located at 231 East Saint Clair Street in the village of Almont in Almont Township in southeastern Lapeer County, Michigan. It was designated as a Michigan State Historic Site on April 5, 1975 and soon after added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 10, 1975.
Wrightstown Octagonal Schoolhouse, also known as Wrightstown Eight Square School and Penns Park Octagonal School, is a historic one-room school located at Wrightstown, Wrightstown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1802, and is a one-story, one room, stone schoolhouse building. It has a wood shingled pyramidal roof and small terra cotta chimney. It operated as a subscription school from its construction until 1850. It was then used as a farm outbuilding, and in the 1980s as an artist's studio. It was restored in 1996 by the Wrightstown Township Historical Commission.
Philip Dougherty Tavern, also known as the Humphreyville Hotel, is a historic inn and tavern located in East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It is directly across the road from the Philip Dougherty House. It was built about 1778, and is a two-story, six bay, stuccoed stone structure with a gable roof. The Marquis de Lafayette stopped for lunch at the tavern on his grand tour in 1825.
Philip Dougherty House is a historic home located in East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is directly across the road from the Philip Dougherty Tavern. It was built about 1774, and is a two-story, four bay, stuccoed stone dwelling with a gable roof. It features a full width front porch with a hipped roof. Also on the property are a contributing bank barn, machine shop, and milk house. Philip Dougherty was the brother of Edward Dougherty, who built the Edward Dougherty House.
White Horse Tavern is a historic inn and tavern located in East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1816, and is a two-story, five bay, stuccoed stone building with a gable roof in the Federal style. It features a formal pedimented entrance. The tavern was built for Robert Young, who also built the Robert Young House located across the intersection.
Edward Dougherty House is a historic home located in East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1796, and is a 2 1/2-story, four bay, fieldstone dwelling with a gable roof in a conservative Federal style. It features a verandah on three sides of the building. Edward Dougherty was the brother of Philip Dougherty, who built the Philip Dougherty House and Philip Dougherty Tavern.
Martha Pennock House is a set of two historic homes located in East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The older house was built about 1825 as the Ironmaster's mansion by Martha Pennock, widow of Isaac Pennock, for her son Isaac. It is a two-story, five bay, stuccoed stone Federal style dwelling. The second house was built about 1840, and is a two-story, four bay, stuccoed stone Greek Revival style dwelling. It features a full width front verandah. The mill complex where the houses are located was the home of Rebecca Lukens (1794–1854), daughter of Martha Pennock, for a short time after her marriage to Charles Lukens.

John Wentz House is a historic home located in Emmitsburg Road, East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The house was built about 1793, and is a two-story, four bay, stuccoed stone vernacular Federal style dwelling. It has a gable roof and a wraparound verandah. Also on the property are a contributing barn and spring house.
Joseph and Esther Phillips Plantation, also known as The Old Ritter Farm, is a historic home and farm located in West Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The plantation was established in 1813. The house was built in 1813, and is a 2 1/2-story, five bay, stuccoed limestone structure. It is built in the Georgian "I"-plan. It features a Gothic Revival style porch added in the 1850s. Other contributing buildings are two stone and frame bank barns, a stone octagonal smokehouse, a frame carriage house and workshop, and a two-story, stone spring house.
