Marcel Gery (in Czech and Slovak Marcel Géry; born March 15, 1965) is a former butterfly swimmer, who was born in Czechoslovakia and competed for the Czechoslovak national team in international competitions.

At the 1985 Summer Universiade, Gery won a bronze medal in the 200-metre freestyle. [1]

He later emigrated to Canada and competed for the Canadian national team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. There he won bronze medal with the men's 4×100-metres medley relay team, alongside Mark Tewksbury, Jonathan Cleveland and Stephen Clarke. [2]

Shannon Shakespeare is a Canadian former competitive swimmer and freestyle specialist. Shakespeare competed for Canada at two consecutive Summer Olympics in 1996 and 2000. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, she finished in 17th position in the 100-metre freestyle, 5th place in the 4x200 metre freestyle and 4x100 metre medley relays, and 7th place in the 4x100 metre freestyle relay. William Ray Kennedy is a Canadian former swimmer who competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics. He swam for Canada's third-place team in the preliminary heats of the men's 4x100-metre medley relay. He was ineligible to receive a medal under the Olympic swimming rules then in effect, however, because he did not swim in the event final. Arthur Byron MacDonald is an American Canadian swimming coach who helms the Toronto Varsity Blues swim teams at the University of Toronto. He is a former swimmer who competed for Canada in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany. MacDonald placed sixth in the final of the men's 100-metre butterfly, and also competed in the preliminary heats of the 200-metre butterfly, but did not advance.
