The mayor of Chongqing, officially the Mayor of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, is the head of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government. The mayor generally serves as the deputy secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, and is the second-highest ranking official in the city after the secretary of the CCP Chongqing Committee.

Wang Hongju is a retired Chinese politician. He was the mayor of Chongqing, one of four direct-controlled municipalities in China, from 2003 to 2009. He served under Bo Xilai, who headed the Communist Party organization of the city.
Huang Qifan is a Chinese politician, best known for his term as the Mayor of Chongqing, one of China's four directly-controlled municipalities, between 2010 and 2016. Huang began his political career in Shanghai and was transferred to Chongqing in 2001 as its Deputy Mayor, before being promoted to Mayor in 2010.
Tan Qiwei is a former Chinese politician of Tujia ethnic heritage. He was the Vice Mayor of Chongqing, then the Vice Chairman of the Chongqing People's Congress. He was dismissed from office in May 2014 and placed under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-corruption body.

An economics doctorate from Tsinghua University, Zhang had previously served as the Communist Party secretary of Liaoning, mayor of Chongqing, the chief executive of North Industries, a military contractor.
Tang Liangzhi is a Chinese politician who is the current party branch secretary of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He was previously mayor of Chongqing from January 2018 to December 2021, party secretary of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, and mayor of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei.
