McLeod is an unincorporated community in Jackson County, Oregon, United States. [1] It lies at the confluence of Big Butte Creek with the Rogue River just downstream of Lost Creek Lake. [2] It is along Oregon Route 62 between Shady Cove and Prospect. [2] The community was named after its 1910 settler William R. McLeod. [3]

Tri-City is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated community in Douglas County, Oregon, United States. The population was 3,931 at the 2010 census. The community in Missouri Bottom near the Umpqua River is named for the three cities among which it is centered: Myrtle Creek, Canyonville and Riddle. The Tri City School District probably originated the name, which was later adopted by the local sewer district and the former Tri City State Airport.
Rome, also called Rome Station after its sole business, is an unincorporated community in Malheur County, Oregon, United States. It is part of the Ontario, OR–ID Micropolitan Statistical Area. In the sparsely populated high desert of southeastern Oregon, Rome is immediately west of the Owyhee River on U.S. Route 95, approximately 12 miles (19 km) northeast of Burns Junction. Jordan Creek enters the river slightly downstream of Rome. The elevation of Rome is 3,390 feet (1,033 m) above sea level.

The Umatilla River is an 89-mile (143 km) tributary of the Columbia River in northern Umatilla County, Oregon, United States. Draining a basin of 2,450 square miles (6,300 km2), it enters the Columbia near the city of Umatilla in the northeastern part of the state. In downstream order, beginning at the headwaters, major tributaries of the Umatilla River are the North Fork Umatilla River and the South Fork Umatilla River, then Meacham, McKay, Birch, and Butter creeks.

Goldson post office was established in 1891 and named for the first postmaster, J. M. Goldson. It ran until 1934. The community's elevation is 404 feet (123 m).
Carson is an unincorporated community in Baker County, in the U.S. state of Oregon, along Oregon Route 413 about 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Halfway. In 1870 Tom Corson settled in the area on a tributary of Pine Creek. His neighbors pronounced his name "Carson" and named the tributary and a sawmill on the creek after him. When the post office was established in 1893, it was named "Carson" as well. The town was platted in 1900, the first in Pine Valley. The platted area was small even by northeastern standards: 12 blocks. Carson lost out as a rural service center to the nearby Langrell.

It lies along Oregon Route 99 near the mouth of Foots Creek, where it empties into the Rogue River. Interstate 5 and Valley of the Rogue State Park are on the side of the river opposite Foots Creek.
The North Fork Siuslaw River is a tributary of the Siuslaw River in Lane County in the United States state of Oregon. It is formed by the confluence of Sam Creek and West Branch in the Siuslaw National Forest of the Central Oregon Coast Range. The former community of Pawn was once at the juncture of the two creeks. From here, the river flows about 2 miles (3 km) southeast, then about 25 miles (40 km) southwest to meet the main stem 1.2 miles (1.9 km) east of Florence.
Pawn was a historic unincorporated community in Lane County in the U.S. state of Oregon. It lay at the headwaters of the North Fork Siuslaw River, where Sam Creek and West Branch join to form the river in the Siuslaw National Forest of the Central Oregon Coast Range. Downstream is the unincorporated community of Minerva, and further downstream, near the mouth of the river on the Siuslaw River is the city of Florence.
