It was written by Gomez, Giraldo, Elena Rose and Daniel Echavarría Oviedo and produced by the latter. The cover art was shot by photographer Alfredo Flores. It is Gomez and Giraldo's second collaboration, following "Mi Mala (Remix)" released in February 2018. The single reached number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs, peaked at number four on the Global 200, and peaked at number fifteen on the Billboard Hot 100.
