United States lightship Chesapeake (LS-116/WAL-538/WLV-538) is a museum ship owned by the National Park Service and on a 25-year loan to Baltimore City,and is operated by Historic Ships in Baltimore Museum in Baltimore,Maryland. A National Historic Landmark,she is one of a small number of preserved lightships. Since 1820,several lightships have served at the Chesapeake lightship station and have been called Chesapeake. Lightships were initially lettered in the early 1800s,but then numbered as they were often moved from one light station to another. The name painted on the side of lightships was the short name of the Light Station they were assigned to and was the daytime visual aspect of the many Aids to Navigation on board lightships. The United States Coast Guard assigned new hull numbers to all lightships still in service in April 1950. After that date,Light Ship 116 was then known by the new Coast Guard Hull number:WAL-538. In January 1965 the Coast Guard further modified all lightship hull designations from WAL to WLV,so Chesapeake became WLV-538.
The Sands Point Lighthouse is located in the Incorporated Village of Sands Point in the Town of North Hempstead,in Nassau County,on the North Shore of Long Island,in New York,United States. The fourth lighthouse to be established on Long Island,this 1809 stone tower was built by an American Revolutionary War veteran who stayed on as its first keeper for many years. The Lighthouse is sometimes referred to the Mitchell Lighthouse,after Samuel L. Mitchell,the man who fought for it to be constructed.
Split Rock Lighthouse is a lighthouse located southwest of Silver Bay,Minnesota,US on the North Shore of Lake Superior. The structure was designed by lighthouse engineer Ralph Russell Tinkham and was completed in 1910 by the United States Lighthouse Service for $75,000,including the buildings and the land. The New Milford Plant of the Hackensack Water Company was a water treatment and pumping plant located on Van Buskirk Island,an artificially created island in the Hackensack River,in Oradell,Bergen County,New Jersey,United States. The site was purchased in 1881 by the Hackensack Water Company,which developed it for water supply use. The facility was built between 1881 and 1911,and it includes a brick pumping station from 1882,a tall filtration tower,and huge underground infrastructure. The Hackensack Water Company was merged into United Water in the 1980s;the successor today is Suez North America.

It is the tallest lighthouse in Delaware.

Mona Island Light,also known as Faro de la Isla de la Mona,is a historic lighthouse located on the island of Mona,Puerto Rico,in the Mona Passage between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. It is the only lighthouse built of iron and steel in Puerto Rico. While some sources reported that the structure was designed by Gustav Eiffel,who also designed the Eiffel Tower in Paris,recent studies have shown that the tower was designed around 1885 by Spanish engineer Rafael Ravena.
Little River Light is a lighthouse on an island at the mouth of the Little River,in Cutler,Maine. A light station was first established at this site in 1846,and the present structure was built in 1876. It is one of the only iron lighthouses in the state,and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Little River Light Station on March 14,1988. The light station is now owned by the American Lighthouse Foundation,which offers overnight stays in the keeper's house,and occasional tours of the property.

Culebrita Lighthouse is the only remaining Spanish-era structure in the Culebra archipelago. Construction of the lighthouse began on September 25,1882,and was completed on February 25,1886. The Spanish Crown built the lighthouse to help secure its claim over the main island of Culebra. It is the most eastern light outside mainland Puerto Rico. It guided navigation through the Virgin Passage and the Vieques Sound connecting in the Puerto Rico Light System with the Cape San Juan Light.
