The 27th Miss Chinese International Pageant, Miss Chinese International Pageant 2016 was held on January 23, 2016. [2] Miss Chinese International 2015 Mandy Chai of Sydney, Australia crowned her successor, Jennifer Coosemans of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at the end of the pageant.

Pageant information

The slogan to this year's pageant was "The Soul of Eternal Beauty, Displaying the Features of a Thousand Colours" 「絕美靈魂 流露千色面貌」. Aside from the top 3 placements, Miss Friendship was also awarded. [3] The masters of ceremony this year were Carol Cheng, Lawrence Cheng, and Luisa Maria Leitão. There were two judging panels this year, the Diamond Judging Panel of six male actors and singers, and the Elegant Judging Panel, which consists of twenty past Miss Chinese International Pageant and Miss Hong Kong Pageant contestants. Both judging panels selected the winner and runners-up of the pageant, however, after each round of competition, the top current top 3 rankings from the Elegant Judging Panel were revealed. [1]

With 14 delegates competing, this marks the lowest contestant turnout in the history of the pageant. Contestant number four, Sophia Wu was originally introduced as representing Jiangsu at the initial press conference, but was later changed to representing Nanjing in her profile on the official pageant website. [2] [4] With Cooseman's win, she became Vancouver's seventh Miss Chinese International titleholder.

The Mr. Hong Kong Contest, or Mr.HK (港生) for short, is a beauty contest for young men, organized by leading Hong Kong television station TVB. The contest since 2005, suspended during 2012 to 2015, and 2017. Winners will have the opportunity to represent Hong Kong for the Mister World contest.

Miss Hong Kong 2008 The 36th Miss Hong Kong Pageant which was televised live internationally from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 19 July 2008. Twenty-two-year-old Edelweiss Cheung became the new Miss Hong Kong and the tallest Miss Hong Kong, in the history of the pageant. Skye Chan the first runner-up and replaced Edelweiss during her duties due to Edelweiss not showing up. Skye Chan represented Hong Kong in Miss World 2008, and Miss Chinese International 2009. Miss Chinese International Pageant 2009 was held on January 17, 2009 in Foshan, China. The pageant is organized and broadcast by TVB in Hong Kong. Miss Chinese International 2008 Océane Zhu of Paris, France crowned her successor, Christine Kuo of Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the end of the event.

Miss Chinese International Pageant 1999 was held on February 14, 1999 in Hong Kong. The pageant was organized and broadcast by TVB in Hong Kong. The 25th Miss Chinese International Pageant, Miss Chinese International Pageant 2014 was held on January 26, 2014. Miss Chinese International 2013 Gloria Tang of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada crowned her successor, Grace Chan of Hong Kong at the end of the pageant.

The 26th Miss Chinese International Pageant, Miss Chinese International Pageant 2015 was held on January 25, 2015. Miss Chinese International 2014 Grace Chan of Hong Kong crowned her successor, Mandy Chai of Sydney, Australia at the end of the pageant.

Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2014 Final was held in TVB City on August 30, 2014. Ten delegates completed for the title. The winner was Veronica Shiu. The first runner-up was Erin Wong. The second runner-up was Katherine Ho. A week before Final, the Semi-Final was held in TVB City on August 24, 2014, which selected the top ten delegates from sixteen delegates to complete in the final.

Carat Cheung is a Canadian-Chinese actress, model and former beauty pageant winner currently based in Hong Kong and previously under Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) management. She is the winner of Miss Hong Kong 2012.

Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2016 was held together with Mr Hong Kong 2016 in TVB City on 11 September 2016. Ten delegates will competed for the Miss Hong Kong title.

Her official name is Sabina, but she goes by Sabrina.
