Miss Chinese International Pageant 1998 was held on January 25, 1998 in Hong Kong. The pageant was broadcast live through TVB and was streamed for the first time in Malaysia. Miss Chinese International 1997 Monica Lo of Toronto, Ontario, Canada crowned Louisa Luk of San Francisco, USA as the new winner. Luk is the first winner from the United States and San Francisco's only winner, as of 2010.

Pageant information

The theme to this year's pageant is "Beautiful Shadows from The Land of the Gods, Ten Years of Love from the Dragons" 「神洲儷影 十載龍情」. This year also marks the tenth anniversary of the Miss Chinese International Pageant. The Masters of Ceremonies were Eric Tsang, Lydia Shum, and mandopop singer Emil Chau, who also served as the special performing guest. Other performing guests included cantopop singers Eason Chan, Edmond Leung and Miriam Yeung.

10th anniversary guests

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the pageant, the organizers invited ten past award winners as special guests, who took part in an opening ceremony for the show. The list includes:

Lee San-San, born 9 October 1977, was the winner of the 1996 Miss Hong Kong Pageant and her territory's representative at Miss Universe 1997. Lee placed 45th at that pageant like former Miss Hong Kongs, Mok Hoi Yan and Halina Tam. She also competed at the Miss Chinese International 1997, pageant where she finished 2nd. She signed with TVB, and starred in various Hong Kong television dramas, before leaving the network. She is a Hakka of Meixian ancestry.

Miss Hong Kong 2007 pageant, the 35th Miss Hong Kong pageant was held in the Hong Kong Coliseum on 21 July 2007. Sixteen delegates competed for the title. Contestant #3: Kayi Cheung was crowned the winner by outgoing titleholder, Aimee Chan.

Miss Chinese International Pageant 2008 was held on January 26, 2008 in Foshan, China, for the second consecutive year. The pageant was organized and broadcast by TVB in Hong Kong. Miss Chinese International 2007 Sarah Song of Sydney, Australia crowned Océane Zhu of Paris, France as the 20th Miss Chinese International. Zhu is the first ever winner from Europe.

Death Duel is a 1977 Hong Kong wuxia film directed by Chor Yuen under the Shaw Brothers Studio banner. The film stars Derek Yee, Ling Yun, and marked the debut of Candice Yu for Shaw Studio where she plays a prostitute. The film based on the Gu Long's novel of the same name. It was remade in 2016 as Sword Master, directed by Derek Yee.

Miss Chinese International Pageant 2009 was held on January 17, 2009 in Foshan, China. The pageant is organized and broadcast by TVB in Hong Kong. Miss Chinese International 2008 Océane Zhu of Paris, France crowned her successor, Christine Kuo of Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the end of the event.

The pageant was supposed to be held in the fall/winter of 1990, but delayed until February 1991 to coincide with Chinese New Year. Since then, the pageant has been held near Chinese New Year up till 2010, when the pageant reverted to being held in the autumn. The pageant was organized and broadcast by TVB in Hong Kong. Miss Chinese International 1989 Kit Wong of Sydney, Australia crowned Singapore's Yen-Thean Leng as the new winner. Five years later, Singapore would win the pageant again.

Pauline Yeung Po-ling is a Hong Kong actress and beauty pageant titleholder who won the 1987 Miss Hong Kong Pageant. She was born in Hong Kong with ancestry in Dongguan, Guangdong, China.

Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2014 Final was held in TVB City on August 30, 2014. Ten delegates completed for the title. The winner was Veronica Shiu. The first runner-up was Erin Wong. The second runner-up was Katherine Ho. A week before Final, the Semi-Final was held in TVB City on August 24, 2014, which selected the top ten delegates from sixteen delegates to complete in the final.
