"Moon Color Chainon" was written by Sailor Moon creator and mangaka Naoko Takeuchi (under the "Sumire Shirobara" (白薔薇sumire, Shirobara Sumire) pseudonym), composed by Akiko Kosaka, who had previously composed "Gekkō", and arranged by Gesshoku Kaigi band. The single was released in two versions: "Momoiro Clover Z Edition" and "Eternal Edition". Momoiro Clover Z Edition contains the single that only sung by the group, and re-recorded songs that the group had provided for the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Memorial Tribute album, as well as the theme songs from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal series. The Eternal Edition contains the single that the group sung with the voice actresses: Kotono Mitsuishi (as Sailor Moon), Hisako Kanemoto (as Sailor Mercury), Rina Satō (as Sailor Mars), Ami Koshimizu (as Sailor Jupiter), and Shizuka Itō (as Sailor Venus), [lower-alpha 1] which was used for the two-part film, [1] as well as the films' ending songs sung by Yoko Ishida and ANZA. Naoko Takeuchi is a Japanese manga artist. She is best known as the author of Sailor Moon, one of the most popular manga series of all time.
Sailor Moon is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi. It was originally serialized in Kodansha's shōjo manga magazine Nakayoshi from 1991 to 1997; the 60 individual chapters, along with several side stories, were compiled in 18 volumes. The series follows the adventures of a schoolgirl named Usagi Tsukino as she transforms into the eponymous character to search for a magical artifact, the "Legendary Silver Crystal". She leads a group of comrades, the Sailor Soldiers, called Sailor Guardians in later editions, as they battle against villains to prevent the theft of the Silver Crystal and the destruction of the Solar System.

Sailor Moon R: The Movie is a 1993 Japanese animated superhero fantasy film directed by Kunihiko Ikuhara and written by Sukehiro Tomita based on the Sailor Moon manga series by Naoko Takeuchi. Sailor Moon Crystal, known in Japan as Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, is a Japanese anime series based on the shōjo manga series Sailor Moon written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi, produced in commemoration of the original series' 20th anniversary. Produced by Toei Animation and directed by Munehisa Sakai and Chiaki Kon, the series was streamed worldwide on Niconico from July 5, 2014, to July 18, 2015. Season 1 and 2's episodes were released twice a month. Instead of remaking the 1990s anime series preceding it, Toei Animation produced Crystal as a reboot of Sailor Moon and as a more faithful adaptation of the original manga by omitting much of the original material from the first series. The story focuses on Usagi Tsukino, who is a young girl that obtains the power to become the titular character. Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon SuperS: Shin Shuyaku Sōdatsusen is a 1996 fighting video game developed and published by Angel for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn. It is based upon Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon shōjo manga and anime series. Loosely following the fourth season of the anime series, which adapted the fourth arc of the manga, the players control either one of the five original Inner Senshi or one of the four Outer Senshi as they enter a tournament to fight against each other and become the winning victor. The game was created by most of the same team who worked on previously released fighting titles in the Sailor Moon franchise for the Super Famicom at Angel.

Katsumi Tamegai is a Japanese animator, character designer and animation director that works at Toei Animation. He is most notable for his episode animation director work on the 1990s Sailor Moon anime series and character design for its fifth and final season. His other notable works include his episode animation direction work for the Pretty Cure series.
