Jessore District, officially spelled Jashore District from April 2018, is a district in southwestern Bangladesh. It is bordered by India to the west, Khulna and Satkhira districts to the south, Khulna and Narail to the east, and Jhenaidah and Magura districts to the north. Jessore is the capital of the district. Jessore is the home of the ancestors of the great Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore. Jashore was the first independent district of Bangladesh in 1971.
Eden Mohila College, is a women's college in Azimpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1873 in the Farashganj area of Dhaka. In 1878 the school was named after Ashley Eden, Lieutenant Governor of Bengal. The college moved to its present premises in 1963. It is affiliated with the University of Dhaka as of 16 February 2017.
Farhad Reza is a Bangladeshi cricketer who made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Zimbabwe in July 2006 and is the first batsman from Bangladesh to score a half century on ODI debut. He is a right-handed middle order batsman and right arm fast-medium pace bowler and played domestic cricket for Rajshahi Division from 2004 until 2008. Initially Reza was not being picked for the national side by the selectors and Bashar insisted during the tournament that he could have used him. Finally he came to the squad after the injury of Tapash Baisya during the Super Eight stage. Reza retired from international and domestic cricket in September 2008, aged 22, to play in the Indian Cricket League (ICL). He represents the Dhaka Warriors, a team in the ICL made up solely of Bangladeshi players.

He was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1984 and Ekushey Padak in 2007 by the Government of Bangladesh for his contribution to theatre and won the Independence Award in 2023 for his contribution to the field of literature.

Dwijen Bandyopadhyay was a veteran Bengali actor and theater personality from West Bengal, India. He worked onstage from the 1970s. Bandyopadhyay has also been a professor in the department of Drama at Rabindra Bharati University from 1996 to 2014.
Selim Al Deen Muktamanch is an ancient Greek styled Theatre in Jahangirnagar University. The open air stage is located on the slope of a mound to the east of the university's Student-Teacher Center, and to the south of the cafeteria. It is the first open air theatre in South Asia built in the style of Ancient Greece. Initially known as the cultural shrine of the university, it was long referred to simply as 'Mukt Manch', after which it was officially named posthumously in honor of its master planner, Salim Al Deen. Muktamanch made its debut in 1980 by staging the play 'Shakuntala'.
