The Oak Creek Nature Reserve is a protected nature reserve in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The 404-hectare (1,000-acre) reserve is situated near the rural locality of Wee Jasper.^[2]

State parks are parks or other protected areas managed at the sub-national level within those nations which use "state" as a political subdivision. State parks are typically established by a state to preserve a location on account of its natural beauty, historic interest, or recreational potential. There are state parks under the administration of the government of each U.S. state, some of the Mexican states, and in Brazil. The term is also used in the Australian state of Victoria. The equivalent term used in Canada, Argentina, South Africa and Belgium, is provincial park. Similar systems of local government maintained parks exist in other countries, but the terminology varies.

A nature reserve is a protected area of importance for flora, fauna or features of geological or other special interest, which is reserved and managed for conservation and to provide special opportunities for study or research. Nature reserves may be designated by government institutions in some countries, or by private landowners, such as charities and research institutions, regardless of nationality. Nature reserves fall into different IUCN categories depending on the level of protection afforded by local laws. Normally it is more strictly protected than a nature park.

The Southern Tablelands is a geographic area of New South Wales, Australia, located south-west of Sydney and west of the Great Dividing Range.

The reserve was created in January 2001 as part of the Southern Regional Forest Agreement. Prior to this, the area was Crown land.^[2]

The Eagles Claw Nature Reserve is a protected nature reserve that is located on the south coast of the state of New South Wales, Australia. The 1-hectare (2.5-acre) reserve protects a strip of rugged coastline in the vicinity of Lookout Point at the town of Eden. The reserve was gazetted on 27 March 1986, to give protection to what was then thought to be the only known mainland breeding colony of little penguins in the state.

The Ukerabagh Island is a river island, contained within the Ukerabagh Island Nature Reserve, a protected nature reserve, that is located in the mouth of the Tweed River, in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales in eastern Australia. The 125-hectare (310-acre) reserve is situated near Tweed Heads and 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) south of a section that defines the border between the states of New South Wales and Queensland. The island and reserve is an important site for coastal birds.

The Little Llangothlin Nature Reserve is a protected wetland nature reserve that is located on the Northern Tablelands in the New England region of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The 257-hectare (640-acre) reserve is situated approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north-east of the rural locality of Llangothlin, and some 20 kilometres (12 mi) north-east of Guyra.
