Boundaries

The constituency encompasses Santhia Upazila, Bera Municipality, and four union parishads of Bera Upazila: Chakla, Haturia Nakalia, Kytola, and Nutan Bharenga. [2] [3]

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, held in 1973.
