Park Island is a private housing estate located at Ma Wan,an island in Tsuen Wan,New Territories,Hong Kong. It was mainly developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties as part of the Ma Wan Development joint venture project [1] and completed from 2002 to 2006 in six phases. There are around 10,000 to 15,000 residents.
Ma Wan is in Primary One Admission (POA) School Net 62, [6] which includes multiple aided schools (operated independently but funded with government money) and two government schools: Hoi Pa Street Government Primary School (海壩街官立小學) and Tsuen Wan Government Primary School (荃灣官立小學). [7]
Similar to the Lantau Island private housing estate Discovery Bay, Park Island has its own shuttle bus and ferry routes operated by Park Island Transport Company Limited to Tsuen Wan, Tsing Yi, Kwai Fong, Hong Kong International Airport, and Central. [8]
