Phrike

Horror is a daimon appearing only in Seneca's Oedipus. [1] They are not personified elsewhere, but their presence in a list of other Greek daimones supports that their personification is taken from Ancient Greek sources. [2]

Etymology

Horror literally means shaking, trembling, and the feeling of horror. [3] This meaning is shared by the word φρίκη (phríkē), [4] which is used often in Ancient Greek tragedy. [2]

The PlayStation 5 game Returnal features Phrike as the first boss. [5]
