Porto Mosquito is a settlement in the southern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. It is situated on the south coast, 10 km northwest of Cidade Velha. It is part of the municipality of Ribeira Grande de Santiago.

GimnodesportivoVavá Duarte is a multi-purpose stadium in Praia, Cape Verde south of the city center's plateau in the subdivision of Gamboa just south of Várzea and is located on Avenida de Cuba, a road connecting the south of the city and the north and the southwest of the island. It is currently used for basketball, volleyball and futsal matches. The arena are operated by the Santiago South Regional Basketball Association for basketball, the Santiago South Regional Volleyball Association for volleyball and probably the Santiago Regional Futsal Association for futsal. These associations are also headquartered in the arena and around it.

The Santiago South Zone Cup is the oldest regional cup competition in Cape Verde and is played during the season in the south of island of Santiago, Cape Verde consisting the municipalities of Praia, Ribeira Grande de Santiago and São Domingos. It consists of all the clubs from all the two regional divisions and are divided into about six rounds. The cup competition is organized by the Santiago South Regional Football Association. The cup winner competed in the regional super cup final in the following season. Since 2007, the winner qualifies into the Cape Verdean Cup which were canceled from 2012 to 2017 due to financial and scheduling reasons.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">São Martinho Grande</span> Settlement in Santiago, Cape Verde

São Martinho Grande is a settlement in the southern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde, and part of the municipality Ribeira Grande de Santiago. It is 4 km east from Cidade Velha and 6.5 km west of Praia city centre. National road EN1-ST05 passes north of it. 1.5 km to its south is Calheta de São Martinho, a small bay of the Atlantic Ocean. It was mentioned as "Kalyete de S. Martin" on the 1747 map by Jacques-Nicolas Bellin.
