Ravenna is located in northwestern Fannin County. It is 9 miles (14 km) northwest of Bonham, the county seat, 14 miles (23 km) northeast of Bells, and 5 miles (8 km) southeast of the Red River, the Oklahoma border.

There were 94 housing units at an average density of 77.6 per square mile (30.0/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 97.67% White, 0.93% from other races, and 1.40% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.40% of the population.
There were 86 households, out of which 32.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.1% were married couples living together, 5.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.4% were non-families. 22.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 2.91.
