Ricky's All Day Grill is a restaurant chain in western Canada. [1] The restaurant was founded in 1960 as a family breakfast house. [2] The first location in eastern Canada opened in Peterborough, Ontario [3] in November 2007.
Al Sheren opened the first Ricky's, naming the chain after his son, Ricky. This was Ricky's Pancake House & Chicken and it opened in the early 1960s in Park Royal Shopping Centre in West Vancouver, BC. Park Royal had just opened and it was the first indoor mall in Canada.
Roy Hildebrand bought a franchise in 1979 and became the franchisor in 1982. Roy and his family quickly expanded the chain, opening locations throughout Western Canada.
Frank Di Benedetto acquired Ricky's [4] in 1997 as majority owner, President and CEO. Ricky's All Day Grill. Ricky's is now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Quiz Holdings, LLC, doing business as Quiznos, is an American franchised fast-food restaurant based in Denver, Colorado, that specializes in offering toasted submarine sandwiches. It was founded in 1981 by Jimmy Lambatos and sold to Rick and Richard Schaden ten years later, before growing to nearly 5,000 restaurants afterwards. As of 2013, Quiznos was the second-largest submarine sandwich shop chain in North America, behind Subway. A 2016 survey indicated that Quiznos was the ninth-largest submarine sandwich shop chain based on sales. The publications Restaurant Business and Mashed.com reported in mid-2018 that Quiznos had only 400 locations remaining by 2017 after a high of 4,700 locations in 2007 just a decade earlier, while Money reported in May 2018 that Quiznos had 1,500 locations across the U.S.

They have recently made advancements into both Japan and South Korea. They follow traditional recipes and ingredients for their pancakes, but have other breakfast items on the menu, as well. They also have a spin-off, Walker Brothers Pancake House, which has a similar menu, but with a formal ambiance.

Many small, independent pancake houses, as well as large corporations and franchises, use the terminology in their establishment names, most notably the International House of Pancakes (IHOP), Waffle House and The Original Pancake House. Most pancake houses are dine-in, although most will offer carry-out as well. Many are open until around 3 a.m. Exceptions to this are large chains such as IHOP and Denny's, which are usually open 24 hours. Some independent pancake houses are found in strip malls, or exist as stand-alone structures that have been re-fitted, such as a closed-down diner or retail store.
Chicken in the Rough, also known as Beverly's Chicken in the Rough, is a fried chicken restaurant chain and former franchise. It was one of the earliest restaurant chain franchises in the United States. Chicken in the Rough was founded by Beverly and Rubye Osborne in 1936 in Oklahoma City, and the restaurant's specialty half a fried chicken dish was also created in 1936. The dish itself was also referred to as "Chicken in the Rough", and consisted of half a fried chicken, shoestring potatoes and a biscuit with honey. Three restaurants presently serve the dish today, located in Oklahoma City, Port Huron, Michigan and Canadian neighbor Sarnia, Ontario. The chain's logo was an image of a rooster smoking a cigar and carrying a golf club. The chain also used a logo of "Chicken's Caddie", which depicted a chick acting as a golf caddie, stating "I'll gladly be fried for Chicken in the Rough".
