Robert Cannon (born July 9, 1958) is an American athlete. He competed in the men's triple jump at the 1988 Summer Olympics. [1]
Competing for the Indiana Hoosiers track and field team, Cannon won the 1979 triple jump at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships. [2]
May 9, 1995 at age 36, Cannon triple jumped 15.96 winning the Dan Aldrich Masters Meet. [3]
Robert Beamon is an American former track and field athlete, best known for his world record in the long jump at the Mexico City Olympics in 1968. By jumping 8.90 m, he broke the existing record by a margin of 55 cm and his world record stood for almost 23 years until it was broken in 1991 by Mike Powell. The jump is still the Olympic record and the second-longest in history unassisted by wind.

Curry currently holds FSU's indoor and outdoor records for the triple jump. He also posted a personal best of 17.22 metres by winning the men's triple jump at the NCAA East Regional Meet in Tallahassee, Florida. Curry is a member of the track and field team for the Florida Seminoles, and a graduate of Florida State University.
