Winnebago County is a county located in the U.S. state of Illinois. According to the 2020 census, it had a population of 285,350 making it the seventh most populous county in Illinois behind Cook County and its five surrounding collar counties. Its county seat is Rockford. Winnebago County is the central county of the Rockford Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Rockton is a village in Winnebago County, Illinois. It is located in the Rock River Valley and is part of the Rockford metropolitan area. The population was 7,685 at the time of the 2010 census, up from 5,296 at the time of the 2000 census.
Flamborough is a district and former municipality in the city of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. For most of its existence before amalgamation with Hamilton in 2001, Flamborough comprised the former townships of East Flamborough, West Flamborough, and Beverly, as well as the village of Waterdown. The largest suburban community is the former village of Waterdown containing perhaps one third of its thirty thousand or so inhabitants. The Westfield Heritage Village is a heritage centre located just west of Rockton, Ontario, Canada. The village contains over 30 historic buildings on a 3.4-square-kilometre (840-acre) site. It is operated by the Hamilton Conservation Authority.
German submarine U-346 was a Type VIIC U-boat of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine during World War II. She was laid down at the Nordseewerke in Emden as yard number 218 on 28 October 1942, launched on 13 April 1943 and commissioned on 7 June of the same year under the command of Oberleutnant zur See Arno Leisten. She had been built for operations during the Battle of the Atlantic, but was the victim of an accident before she started operations.
The Clay County Fair is held every September in Spencer, Iowa, United States. It is the largest county fair in the state of Iowa. It has the largest agricultural exposition in North America. Bringing in over 310,000 visitors a year, the Clay County Fair is one of the largest county fairs in the United States. 2011 set attendance records of 328,000. There used to be a train station in Lynden that went to Hamilton and Lynden provided goods to that city. Currently Lynden has many farmers, small business entrepreneurs and commuters to Hamilton, Cambridge, Dundas, Brantford and Toronto.
Union Cross is an unincorporated community in the Dobson Township of central Surry County, North Carolina, United States. The community is roughly centered on the intersection of Dobbins Mill Road and Twin Oaks Road. Prominent landmarks include Union Cross Baptist Church, Union Cross Baptist Church cemetery, the Dockery Family Cemetery, and a local Ruritan club. The land for the Union Cross Ruritan Club was donated to the community for this purpose by Mrs. Minnie Shinault Dockery, widow of T. Alvin Dockery, a prominent local farmer and owner of the local general store. This Community is served by the Jot-Um-Down Volunteer Fire Department, which was founded in 1980.
King's Highway 52, commonly referred to as Highway 52, was a provincially maintained highway located in the former Regional Municipality of Hamilton-Wentworth, now the City of Hamilton. The route began at a junction with former Highway 2 and Highway 53 near Ancaster and travelled north to Highway 5 and Highway 8 in Peters Corners. An older section travelled concurrently with Highway 8 northwest to Rockton, where it turned north and travelled to the Hamilton–Wellington boundary, ending inexplicably at a township road.

The Strathcona neighbourhood is located west of downtown Hamilton, Ontario, and is bounded by Highway 403, the CNR rail line, Queen Street, York Boulevard and Main Street. The neighbourhood is also intersected by several other major street arteries: Dundurn Street, Locke Street, and King Street West. As of the 2016 census, Strathcona has a population of 6,555, up from 5,800 in the 1996 census.
The Tunbridge World's Fair is an annual event held in mid-September in Tunbridge, Vermont. The annual fair continues to this day with demonstrations of farming and agricultural traditions and culture, working antique displays, horse and ox pulling, horse racing, cattle and horse shows, junior exhibits, floral and 4-H exhibits, contra dancing, gymkhana, and many free shows.
Sheffield is a village and rural community in the single-tier municipality of Hamilton, Ontario. It is located just off Highway 8, on the municipality's boundary with the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. It is 10 kilometres from the city of Cambridge and 35 from Hamilton's downtown core. The village lay on the road between the two cities until 1959, when the Sheffield Bypass was completed. Ontario Highway 8 still follows the route of the bypass; the main street through Sheffield is now a 2.4 km section of municipal road known as Old Highway 8.
