Samtse Gewog (Dzongkha: བསམ་རྩེ་) is a gewog (village block) of Samtse District, Bhutan.^[1]^[2]

Dzongkha, or Bhutanese, is a Sino-Tibetan language spoken by over half a million people in Bhutan; it is the sole official and national language of the Kingdom of Bhutan. The Tibetan alphabet is used to write Dzongkha.

Samtse District is one of the 20 dzongkhags (districts) comprising Bhutan.

Bhutan, officially the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a landlocked country in South Asia. Located in the Eastern Himalayas, it is bordered by Tibet Autonomous Region of China in the north, the Sikkim state of India and the Chumbi Valley of Tibet in the west, the Arunachal Pradesh state of India in the east, and the states of Assam and West Bengal in the south. Bhutan is geopolitically in South Asia and is the region's second least populous nation after the Maldives. Thimphu is its capital and largest city, while Phuntsholing is its financial center.

The village of Chengmari is located within the district.

Chengmari is a settlement in the far west of Bhutan. It is located between Samtse and Sibsu in Samtse District, close to the border with India.

Biru Gewog is a former gewog of Samtse District, Bhutan. The gewog has an area of 49.04 square kilometres and contains 15 chewogs with 46 villages and 448 households. Biru Gewog comprises part of Sipsu Dungkhag (sub-district), together with Tendu, Bara, Lehereni, and Sipsu Gewogs.

Chargharey Gewog is a former gewog of Samtse District, Bhutan. Chargharey Gewog, together with Chengmari Gewog, comprises part of Chengmari Dungkhag (sub-district).

Dorokha Gewog is a former gewog of Samtse District, Bhutan. Dorokha Gewog is part of Dorokha Dungkhag (sub-district), together with Dorokha and Denchukha Gewogs.

Dungtoe Gewog is a gewog of Samtse District, Bhutan. Dungtoe Gewog is part of Dorokha Dungkhag (sub-district), together with Dorokha and Denchukha Gewogs.
