Sardinioides is an extinct genus of prehistoric ray-finned fish from the Campanian. It is a member of the order Myctophiformes, and considered a sister group to Paleogene and modern neoscopelids and myctophids. [1]

Species of Enchodus flourished during the Late Cretaceous, and there is some evidence that they may have survived to the Paleocene or Eocene; however, this may just represent reworked Cretaceous material.
Axelrodichthys is an extinct genus of mawsoniid coelacanth from the Cretaceous of Africa, North and South America, and Europe. Several species are known, the remains of which were discovered in the Lower Cretaceous (Aptian-Albian) of Brazil, North Africa, and possibly Mexico, as well as in the Upper Cretaceous of Morocco (Cenomanian), Madagascar and France. The Axelrodichthys of the Lower Cretaceous frequented both brackish and coastal marine waters while the most recent species lived exclusively in fresh waters. The French specimens are the last known fresh water coelacanths. Most of the species of this genus reached 1 metre to 2 metres in length. Axelrodichthys was named in 1986 by John G. Maisey in honor of the American ichthyologist Herbert R. Axelrod.

Aidachar is an extinct genus of marine ichthyodectiform teleost ray-finned fish from the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian-Turonian) of Central Asia and North Africa.
Araripichthys is an extinct genus of marine ray-finned fish that lived from the Aptian to Coniacian stages of the Cretaceous period. The genus is named after the Araripe Basin, where it was found in the Crato and Santana Formations. Other fossils of the genus have been found at Goulmima in Morocco, the Tlayua Formation of Mexico and the Apón Formation of Venezuela.
Asarotus is an extinct genus of prehistoric marine ray-finned fish from the Niobrara Formation of Nebraska, during the Campanian. The type species, A. arcanus is only known from poorly preserved single specimen, which makes hard to classify existing orders of Cretaceous actinopterygians. It is thus classified as the only member of its family Asarotidae and order Asarotiformes. Some authorities consider it a late-surviving member of the "palaeonisciform" fishes.
Flindersichthys is an extinct genus of prehistoric bony fish that lived during the Albian stage of the Early Cretaceous epoch.
Coelodus is an extinct genus of marine and possibly freshwater pycnodont fish. It contains only one definitive species, C. saturnusHeckel, 1854, from the Late Cretaceous of Slovenia. Other species from the Late Jurassic to the Eocene have also been attributed to this genus based on isolated dental elements, but their assignment to Coelodus is uncertain, and this genus likely represents a non-monophyletic wastebasket taxon. A potential diagnostic trait is a prearticular tooth row with three regular highly elongated teeth.
Cylindracanthus is an extinct, enigmatic genus of marine ray-finned fish with fossils known throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Africa from the Late Cretaceous to the late Eocene, with potential Oligocene records and a possible Miocene record also known. It is exclusively known from its distinctive partial remains, which are long cylindrical bony spines that are usually considered rostrum fragments, as well as some associated teeth. These spines are abundant & widespread throughout this timespan, and are useful indicators of a nearshore marine environment, but the taxonomic identity of the fish is still highly uncertain and debated.
Peipiaosteus is an extinct genus of prehistoric chondrostean ray-finned fish. Its fossils are found in the Early Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation, Pani Lake, Liaoning Province, China.

Shuleichthys brachypteryx is an extinct species of ray-finned fish which existed in China during the Cretaceous period. Fossils of the fish were found in the Aptian Xiagou Formation of the Changma Basin. It is the only species in the genus Shuleichthys and cannot be placed in any order of the Osteoglossomorpha without making that order paraphyletic.
Chuhsiungichthys is an extinct genus of ichthyodectiform ray-finned fish that lived in freshwater environments in what is now Yunnan, China, and Kyushu, Japan during the Cretaceous. It differs from its sister genus, Mesoclupea, primarily by having a comparatively more anteriorly-placed dorsal fin.
The Cretaceous–Paleogene (K–Pg) extinction event, also known as the Cretaceous–Tertiary(K–T)extinction, was the mass extinction of three-quarters of the plant and animal species on Earth approximately 66 million years ago. Siyuichthyidae is an extinct family of stem-teleost fish known from the Early Cretaceous Tugulu Group of Xinjiang, China. It contains five genera with a total of nine species, all of which are based on poor remains.
