Satyamangalam block is a revenue block in the Erode district of Tamil Nadu, India. It has a total of 15 panchayat villages. [1]

Economy

In recent years Satyamangalam block, like Bhavanisagar block, has become a notable area of floriculture, with an increasing number of farmers turning to flower cultivation, with an increasing 10-15% of acreage dedicated to it annually according to 2010 reports. [2] Of particular note is marigold cultivation which can earn Rs. 6 to Rs. 10 per kg during the season and are usually purchased by the traders in Sathyamangalam and Coimbatore to companies producing poultry feed and food colouring. [3]

Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve is a protected area and tiger reserve in the Eastern Ghats in the Erode District of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It has a tiger population of 83 and a leopard population of 111 according to the 2019 census.

Kodiveri Dam Dam in "`UNIQ--nowiki-0000000B-QINU`"Gobichettipalayam Taluk, Tamil Nadu

Kodiveri Dam is located on the Bhavani river near Sathyamangalam in Tamil Nadu. The dam is situated along the State Highway 15 about 15 km (9.3 mi) from Gobichettipalayam towards Sathyamangalam. From Sathyamangalam via Aalatthukombai the dam is at a distance of 7 km (4.3 mi).

Thalavadi taluk is a taluk of Erode district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Thalavadi became a separate taluk within Erode district by the bifurcation of Sathyamangalam, Modakurichi and Kodumudi taluks on 8 March 2016.

The Coimbatore–Chamrajnagar line is a proposed railway line from Coimbatore (Tamilnadu) to Chamrajnagar (Karnataka). It is a part of Southern Railway zone of Indian Railways. This line upon construction will improve rail connectivity of western Tamilnadu with Karnataka.This line would give direct rail connectivity between coimbatore and mysore and will reduce the travel distance from Coimbatore to Mysore and Bangalore.It will also connect Tamilnadu with southern districts of Karnataka.
