The Second K. Chandrashekar Rao ministry was the highest decision-making body of executive branch of the Government of Telangana, headed by the Chief Minister of Telangana.

The 18-member cabinet (including chief minister) is its second, being sworn in by the Governor of Telangana on 13 December 2018, 19 February 2019 and 8 September 2019. It is headed by K. Chandrashekar Rao of the BRS, the first Chief Minister of Telangana. [1] [2]

Administrative response

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), a supreme audit institution and statutory auditor of Government-owned corporations, reported a substantial overspending of Rs 2,88,811 crore between 2014–15 and 2021–22, significantly exceeding the allocated funds by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led government. The government's negligence in budget handling became evident by the second year, prompting additional loans and increased interest payments. The CAG pointed at the BRS government for not regularizing the excess expenditure despite discussions in the Public Accounts Committee. [3] [4]

The Indian state of Telangana was founded in 2014. Its territory had formerly been part of Andhra Pradesh. The Telangana movement was instrumental in the creation of the new state, and Telangana Rashtra Samithi, a party which led the Telangana movement after 2001, formed the government in the Telangana Legislative Assembly under Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. The political landscape of Telangana is dominated by the Indian National Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen being other significant forces.

The Praja Bhavan, officially known as Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan and formerly as Pragathi Bhavan is the official residence and principal workplace of the Chief Minister of Telangana. It is located at Greenlands Road, Punjagutta, Hyderabad in Telangana. It was built in 2016 under the chief ministership of K. Chandrashekar Rao. It was designed by the Indian architect, N. Niroop Kumar Reddy.

Bhagiratha is a safe drinking water project for every village in Telangana State, with a budget of ₹43,791 crores. The project is the brainchild of then-Telangana Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekar Rao, that aims to provide piped water to 2.32 crore people in 20 lakh households in urban and 60 lakhs in rural areas of Telangana.The ambitious project will supply clean drinking water to all households in the state through water sourced from the River Godavari and the River Krishna (32.43TMC). The bulk supply is expected to be completed by May 2018, and intra-village, intra-locality works will be completed by December 2018.

The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) is a multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in Kaleshwaram, Bhupalpally, Telangana, India. Currently the world's largest multi-stage lift irrigation project, its farthest upstream influence is at the confluence of the Pranahita and Godavari rivers. The Pranahita River is itself a confluence of various smaller tributaries including the Wardha, Painganga, and Wainganga rivers which combine to form the seventh-largest drainage basin on the subcontinent, with an estimated annual discharge of more than 6,427,900 acre-feet (7,930 cubic hectometres) or 280 TMC. It remains untapped as its course is principally through dense forests and other ecologically sensitive zones such as wildlife sanctuaries.

Chennamaneni Ramesh is an Indian politician. He won four times as an MLA from the Vemulawada constituency in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, three time on Telangana Rashtra Samithi ticket. After denying a ticket for the 2023 elections due to his pending citizenship case in the high court, the chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao appointed his as the advisor to the government on agriculture affairs with Cabinet rank on 25 August 2023 for a five-year term.

Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy is an Indian politician and member of legislative assembly from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who represents Kamareddy constituency in the Telangana Legislative Assembly. In 2023 Telangana Legislative Assembly election he created History as he defeated both the incumbent Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and the then to-be-elected Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He defeated his nearest rival, KCR, by 6741 votes.
