SmartLess is a podcast hosted by the American actors Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Canadian actor Will Arnett. Its first episode was released on July 20, 2020, and new episodes are released weekly each Monday. [1] [2] Every episode begins with one of the hosts revealing a mystery guest to the other two hosts. Once revealed, the three hosts begin interviewing the mystery guest. [1]
In May 2021, the podcast signed with Creative Artists Agency. [3] In June 2021, the podcast was acquired by Amazon.com, Inc. for around US$80 million. With the deal, the podcast will be made available on Amazon Music and Wondery+ one week before other podcast and streaming platforms. [4] [5] SiriusXM acquired the podcast from Amazon in 2024 for a reported US$100 million. [6]
On May 23, 2023, Max premiered a six-episode documentary-style special following the podcast's North American six-city tour, which began in February 2022, featuring behind-the-scenes footage and celebrity interviews. [7] [8]

Adam McKay is an American screenwriter, producer, and director. McKay began his career as a head writer for the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 1995 to 2001. Following his departure from SNL, he rose to fame in the 2000s for his collaborations with comedian Will Ferrell and co-wrote his comedy films Anchorman (2004), Talladega Nights (2006), Step Brothers (2008), The Other Guys (2010), and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013). WeCrashed is an American drama miniseries that premiered on Apple TV+ on March 18, 2022. The series stars Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway as Adam and Rebekah Neumann, the real-life married couple at the heart of WeWork, a coworking space company which claimed a valuation of $47 billion in 2019, before crashing as a result of financial revelations. The series is based on the podcast WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork by Wondery.
Marvel's Wastelanders is an interconnected series of six radio drama podcasts produced by Marvel New Media and SiriusXM in association with Wave Runner Studios and launched in June 2021. The series' podcasts are set in a variation of the Old Man Logan universe, a future timeline where the world's supervillains, led by Doctor Doom, Red Skull, and Baron Zemo, teamed up to kill almost all superheroes and establish a new world order.
