The St. Clair County Transit District (SCCTD) is a transit district that serves fifteen townships in northern St. Clair County, Illinois. Created in 1981 under the authority of the Illinois Mass Transit District Act, it levies a half-cent sales tax to fund MetroLink service in the county, as well as a quarter-cent sales tax which funds MetroBus and paratransit bus service in the member townships. The operation of MetroLink and MetroBus lines is contracted to the Bi-State Development Agency (Metro), while the paratransit service is operated by the Alternative Transportation System (ATS). [1]
The St. Clair County Transit District has two transit hubs: St. Clair County Transit Plaza and O'Fallon Transit Center.
MetroLink is the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan mass transit system serving Missouri and the Metro East area of Illinois. The system consists of two rail lines connecting St. Louis Lambert International Airport and Shrewsbury, Missouri, with Scott Air Force Base near Shiloh, Illinois, Washington University, Forest Park, and Downtown St. Louis. The system operates as underground subway in Downtown St. Louis and as underground subway through portions near Forest Park and Clayton to the west. The system features 38 stations and is the only light rail system in the United States to cross state lines. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 6,702,600, or about 20,500 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2022. As of the third quarter of 2020, it is second only to Minneapolis Metro Transit in the Midwestern United States in terms of light rail ridership, and is the 11th-largest light rail system in the country.
The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, more commonly known simply as the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), is a special district responsible for public transit services, congestion management, specific highway improvement projects, and countywide transportation planning for Santa Clara County, California. It serves San Jose, California, and the surrounding Silicon Valley. It is one of the governing parties for the Caltrain commuter rail line that serves the county. In 2022, the VTA's public transportation services had a combined ridership of 21,381,600, or about 76,000 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2022.
The Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority, more popularly known as Valley Metro, is the unified public brand of the regional transit system for the Phoenix metropolitan area. Within the system, it is divided between Valley Metro Bus, which runs all bus operations, and Valley Metro Rail, which is responsible for light rail operations in the Valley. In 2022, the combined bus and rail system had a ridership of 16,625,900, or about 53,300 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2022.

Its operating budget in 2016 was $280 million, which is funded by sales taxes from the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, the St. Clair County Illinois Transit District, federal and state grants and subsidies, and through fare paying passengers. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 19,049,100, or about 60,300 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2022.

It operates bus, paratransit services and a commuter rail system known as the Capital MetroRail in Austin and several suburbs in Travis and Williamson counties. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 21,145,300, or about 71,600 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2022.

SORTA's headquarters are located at the Huntington Building in Cincinnati’s Central Business District. The agency is managed by CEO and General Manager Darryl Haley along with a 13-member board of trustees. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 9,664,000, or about 34,000 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2022.
College is a St. Louis MetroLink station. This station serves Southwestern Illinois College and the Green Mount Commons shopping center near the eastern edge of Belleville, Illinois. It is also a large commuter station featuring 598 park and ride spaces and 25 long-term spaces.
Swansea is a St. Louis Metrolink station. The station is located in Swansea, Illinois between Illinois State Routes 159 and 161. This is primarily a commuter station and has 716 park and ride spaces and 25 long-term spaces.
Norwalk Transit is a municipal transit company providing fixed-route and paratransit bus transit services in Norwalk, California, United States, and also operates in portions of Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, La Habra, La Mirada, Santa Fe Springs, and Whittier in southeast Los Angeles County and northwestern Orange County. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 851,800, or about 2,800 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2022.
Fairview Heights station is a St. Louis MetroLink station. This station is located on the western edge of Fairview Heights, Illinois and is primarily a commuter station with 853 park and ride spaces and 45 long-term spaces. The station is a large transfer for Illinois MetroBus routes and is the eastern terminus of the Blue Line. To the east of the station is a pocket track allowing Blue Line trains to reverse directions and layover between runs.
Belleville is a St. Louis MetroLink station. The station bisects Scheel Street in the northern section of Belleville, Illinois approximately one mile from the center of town. It has a MetroBus transfer and a large parking lot on the southwest side of the tracks that features 287 park and ride spaces and 34 long-term spaces. This station also includes a small retail building with four storefronts near the bus boarding plaza.
Shiloh–Scott station is a St. Louis MetroLink station in Shiloh, Illinois, adjacent to Scott Air Force Base, after which the station is named. This station is the eastern terminus of the MetroLink system. It opened on June 23, 2003, as part of Phase 2 of the St. Clair County Extension, which extended MetroLink 3.5 miles (5.6 km) from College to Shiloh–Scott.
Madison County Transit, or MCT for short, is a bus and bike trail transportation system that serves the citizens of Madison County, which is located in Illinois approximately 20 miles (32 km) northeast of St. Louis. It was created in 1980 by the Madison County Board to improve transportation in Madison County, and is a completely separate transit system from the St. Louis Metro Transit system which includes MetroLink, which doesn't operate into Madison County, though the buses connect with many MetroBus routes and even serve MetroLink stations in East St. Louis, Belleville and Downtown St. Louis.
The Red Line is the older and longer line of the MetroLink light rail service in Greater St. Louis. It serves 29 stations across three counties and two states.

Metro Call-A-Ride is the paratransit service provided for people who are elderly and/or disabled in the city of St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri, and St. Clair County, Illinois. The service has been operating since 1987.
Milford Transit District is the primary provider of mass transportation in Milford, Connecticut, United States. Four routes are provided by the agency, which operate Monday-Saturday. No bus service is provided on the local routes Sundays or federal holidays.
