Vandergrift is a borough in Westmoreland County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, approximately 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Pittsburgh. Early in the 20th century, it had the largest sheet steel mill in the world.

Benedictine Sisters of Chicago is a Roman Catholic Benedictine congregation of women. It was founded in 1861 by three sisters of the Benedictine congregation of Mount St. Benedict Monastery in Erie, Pennsylvania, who came to Chicago to teach the German-speaking children of St. Joseph's parish. They became an independent congregation in 1872. St. Scholastica's Monastery in Rogers Park, Chicago is the Motherhouse. St. Scholastica Academy was an integral part of the sisters' ministry in Chicago.
The Convent and Academy of the Visitation, properly known today as the Visitation Monastery, is a historic complex of Roman Catholic religious buildings and a small cemetery in Mobile, Alabama, United States. The buildings and grounds were documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1937. They were added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 24, 1992 as a part of Historic Roman Catholic Properties in Mobile Multiple Property Submission. It, along with the Convent of Mercy, is one of two surviving historic convent complexes in Mobile.

St. Mary's Church of the Purification is a historic Roman Catholic church complex in Marystown, Minnesota, United States. The oldest surviving buildings consist of a Romanesque Revival church constructed 1882–1883 and a rectory built in 1910. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 for its significance in the themes of architecture, exploration/settlement, and religion. It was nominated for representating the Roman Catholic church properties around which many German American settlements grew in rural Scott County, Minnesota. At the time of its National Register nomination, the complex also included an 1893 school and 1921 convent. The school was demolished in 1990 and the convent moved elsewhere to serve as a private home.

The parish was established in 1873. It was staffed by the Redemptorist Fathers from 1939 to 2007. The church was designated a New York City landmark in 1976. The church and convent were listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church is a historic Roman Catholic church located at Linden and S. Harrison Streets in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. St. Hedwig's serves as the only architecturally visible anchor or centerpiece for the Wilmington Polish community. The parish operated St. Hedwig's High School from 1960 to the 1970s. It was built in 1904, and is a cruciform shaped church constructed of soft gray brick with details in limestone. It is in the late Gothic Revival style. The front facade features a set of three double doors flanked by 80' spires terminating in cross gable spires. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

They opened a school for girls, St. Benedict Academy, and in 1933 expanded their apostolate into healthcare, becoming the owner and operator of Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
The Monastery of Saint Gertrude is an American monastery of Benedictine nuns near Cottonwood, Idaho. Founded by three nuns from St. Andrew's Abbey, Sarnen, Switzerland, who immigrated to the United States in 1882, it was designated the motherhouse for the community in 1909. Its main building and chapel were listed on the National Register of Historic Places as St. Gertrude's Convent and Chapel in 1979.
