Tarenna is a genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. There are about 193 species distributed across the old world tropics of Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. [1] Petra De Block et al. have assigned several species formerly included in Tarenna to other genera, Cladoceras , Sonbridia , and Nesotarenna within the tribe Pavetteae. [2] They are shrubs or trees with oppositely arranged leaves and terminal arrays of whitish, greenish, or yellowish flowers. [3]
