Summer Olympics appearances (overview)

Thailand competed in the Summer Olympic Games for the first time at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. [1] It sent a delegation of eleven athletes, who only competed in the men's track-and-field event. [2]

The eight competitors (with three substitutes in addition) were: Adul Wanasatith, Boonterm Pakpuang, Arun Sankosik, Pongummart Ummarttayakul, Sompop Svadanandana, Boonpak Kwancharoen, Satid Leangtanom, and Kamtorn Sanidwong. [2]

Wiradech Kothny is a Thai former fencer. He won bronze medals in the individual and team sabre events at the 2000 Summer Olympics, competing for Germany. He then competed for Thailand at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics.

Natthanan Junkrajang is a Thai swimmer. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, she competed in the women's 100 and 200 m freestyle events. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's 200 and 400 metre freestyle events, finishing 30th in the 200 m heats and 29th in the 400 m heats, failing to qualify for the final.

Siripuch Gulnoi formerly Rattikan Gulnoi is a Thai weightlifter. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the women's 58 kg. She set personal bests in both the clean and jerk and the snatch, achieving 100 kg and 134 kg respectively. She originally finished fourth, but was promoted to third and won the bronze medal after Yuliya Kalina was disqualified.

Chatuphum Chinnawong is a Thai weightlifter competing in the 77 kg category. He finished fourth at the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics.This stands to be upgraded to third, pending the IOC medal reallocation process, as a result of the gold medalist being disqualified for doping offences.

Chatchai-decha Butdee Thai boxer

Chatchai-decha Butdee, formerly Chatchai Butdee, is a Thai boxer who won a bronze medal at the 2013 World Championships. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the flyweight, but was defeated in the second bout. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Butdee was again eliminated in the second bout, despite controlling the fight.

Sutiya "Nee" Jiewchaloemmit (Thai: สุธิยา จิวเฉลิมมิตร; born: May 3, 1986 in Tambon Khao Chakan, Prachinburi Province is a Thai sport shooter. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she placed fifth in skeet. She also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, and 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Commerce from Thammasat University

Thanyalak Chotphibunsin is a Thai sport shooter. Chotphibunsin represented Thailand at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in two rifle shooting events, along with her teammate Sasithorn Hongprasert. She placed fortieth out of forty-seven shooters in the women's 10 m air rifle, with a total score of 388 points. Nearly a week later, Chotphibunsin competed for her second event, 50 m rifle 3 positions, where she was able to shoot 200 targets in a prone position, 178 in standing, and 191 in kneeling, for a total score of 569 points, finishing only in thirty-fifth place.
