Trijntje Terpstra (born 21 September 1910 in Warga) was a Dutch female kortebaan speed skater. [1]
Terpstra's first competition was on 31 December 1927 in Deersum. During her career she won at least 31 prizes (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Most of the prizes were money prizes, but she also won a pair of skates. [1] In the winter of 1930-31 Geesje Woudstra won almost all races. Terpstra was the only skater who once beat Woudstra that winter, in four races on 8 February 1931 in Jorwerd. [2]
Terpstra was born in Warga as the daughter of Hendrik Terpstra and Trijntje Roorda. Later she moved to Oldeboorn. [3]
Kortebaanschaatsen refers to an old form of Dutch ice skating tournament that goes back to the 18th century. It is not to be confused with the modern speed skating sport known as short track speed skating. The sport is similar to harness racing and is similarly setup in two straight lanes of 160 meters.

Trijntje van Zinderen-Hemminga was a Dutch kortebaanschaatsen speed skater. Prizes she won consisted of money prizes, art pieces and medals. She won three times the bronze medal at the first three Dutch National Kortebaan Speed Skating Championships: in the winter of 1932–33, 1933–34 and 1938–39.
