Gooitske de Jong (born c. 1936) was a Dutch kortebaan speed skater from Jubbega. She won competitions as a junior skater between 1954 and 1956. [2] [3] She became champion of Heerenveen in February 1956, ahead of Elske van Dam. [4] She won most of her competitions between 1956 and 1964. [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10]
De Jong also played Korfball at “WK” in Jubbega. She received a pin of honor for her contributions, after being a member for 25 years, in June 1965. [11]
De Jong married with Johannes Oosterhof from Nijeholtpa on 15 June 1965 at Crackstate, Heerenveen. [12] When leaving the city hall they were, as being a speed skating tradition, honored by many speed skaters.
