Tropidophorus brookei, also known commonly as Brook's keeled skink and Brooke's keeled skink, is a species of lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to the island of Borneo.
The specific name, brookei, is in honor of British adventurer James Brooke, who became the first White Rajah of Sarawak. [3]
T. brookei is found in all main administrative divisions of the island of Borneo: Kalimantan (Indonesia), Sabah and Sarawak (Malaysia), and Brunei. [1] [2]
The preferred natural habitats of T. brookei are forest and freshwater wetlands, at altitudes of 43–1,100 m (141–3,609 ft). [1]
T. brookei is viviparous. [2]
