Playback (sometimes known as Universal Playback) is a label of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment in the United Kingdom, which specialises in releasing Region 2 DVDs of classic and cult television programmes. In particular, it has the rights to a number of well-known BBC sitcoms which are released under license by BBC Worldwide distributed by 2 Entertain Video Ltd.
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is the home video distribution division of American film studio Universal Pictures, owned by the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group division of NBCUniversal, which is owned by Comcast.
