Viby Jylland railway station is a tram-train and railway station serving the district of Viby J in the city of Aarhus in East Jutland, Denmark. [1] [2]
The station is located on the Fredericia-Aarhus Line from Fredericia to Aarhus. It offers regional train services to Aarhus, Esbjerg, Herning and Skjern. The train services are operated by DSB and Arriva.
The station is also located on the Odder Line between Aarhus and Odder, part of the Aarhus light rail system. In 2016 to 2018, the Odder Line was temporarily closed along with the Grenaa Line while it was being reconstructed to form part of the Aarhus light rail system including electrification.
The rail transport system in Denmark consists of 2,633 km of railway lines, of which the Copenhagen S-train network, the main line Helsingør-Copenhagen-Padborg, and the Lunderskov-Esbjerg line are electrified. Most traffic is passenger trains, although there is considerable transit goods traffic between Sweden and Germany.

The Fredericia–Aarhus railway line is a 108.5 km (67.4 mi) long standard-gauge double-track railway line in Denmark which runs between the cities of Fredericia and Aarhus in East Jutland. It constitutes a section of the East Jutland longitudinal railway line, the through route along the east coast of the Jutland Peninsula from the German border at Padborg to the port city of Frederikshavn in North Jutland.
