Bovisand is a natural coastline on the east side of Plymouth Sound in Devon, England. Despite the steep cliff paths and rocky surrounding, Bovisand features two beaches, a holiday park, privately owned bungalows and a diving centre at Fort Bovisand. The area, in the vicinity of Plymouth and Wembury, is used predominantly by locals, while tourists prefer the larger and better-known beaches elsewhere. It is often referred to as simply Bovi by locals. It lies just outside the boundaries of the city of Plymouth and instead within the district of South Hams.

Wellingsley, also known as Wellingsly, Jabez Corner, and Hobs Hole, is a neighborhood in Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States. It is notable for being the oldest separate neighborhood in the town. Wellingsley is located one mile south of Plymouth Center and north of Chiltonville. The neighborhood is interchangeably called Hobs Hole and Jabez Corner by its residents. Hobs Hole is a small brook that runs along Nook Road and empties into Plymouth Harbor. The name Hob's Hole supposedly derives from "Hobbamock's Hole", referencing a natural harbour ascribed to a famous pniese Pokanoket living with the pilgrims. Jabez Corner, at the intersection of Sandwich Street and Warren Avenue, which Route 3A passes through, is a location containing several small stores.
The Lyman Reserve is a 210-acre (0.85 km2) nature reserve in Bourne, Plymouth and Wareham, Massachusetts and is managed by the Trustees of Reservations. There are 1.5 miles (2.4 km) of hiking trails, a beach and is in proximity to the Red Brook Reserve and Red Brook Wildlife Management Area. The area was formerly as private fishing camp, which sits at the mouth of Red Brook at Buttermilk Bay. It is home to one of the last remaining groups of sea-run brook trout ("salters") in the Eastern United States.

Crystal Cove State Marine Conservation Area (SMCA) is one of a cluster of four adjoining marine protected areas that extend offshore of Newport Beach in Orange County on California’s south coast. The SMCA covers 3.45 square miles of near shore waters. Crystal Cove protects marine life by limiting the removal of marine wildlife from within its borders, including tide pools. Take of all living marine resources is prohibited except: recreational take of finfish by hook-and-line or by spearfishing, and lobster and sea urchin is allowed. Commercial take of coastal pelagic species by round haul net, spiny lobster by trap, and sea urchin is allowed.
